What a lovely surprise. La Treille has old world charm set in a beautiful village next to the river. The accommodation was comfortable. The ambiance was great. The service was professional and friendly. The food was exceptional.

We really enjoyed having the air con in the dome, it made our stay really comfortable at night.
We also loved being able to use the pool and hot tub.
The bean to cup coffee machine in the kitchen and kettle in our Dome were lovely additions. The welcome pack and shower were great.

I think the area caters to both young and old with many activities to participate in for the active, especially children. Fabulous walks, river views and tranquility for those who wish to simply relax.

Vitrac is small but there was a nice restaurant near the accommodation, at the Chateau de Monfort, just a few minutes walk.
The furthest we drove was an hour for sightseeing at Monteparnez and also to the Lascaux Caves. Good place to act as a base. Lots of varied things to see and do.

We spent a week at Le Rosier which is one of about 5 or 6 holiday accommodations set in the grounds of Le Petit Manoir de Vitrac. If you are in the area, I can recommend you stay here. The hosts were very friendly, and Anne speaks excellent English. It meant that I didn't have to put my schoolboy French to the test. The swimming pool was still open when we visited and was welcome after a day's sightseeing. The location in my opinion could not be faulted.
Excellent location for us as booked the Canoeing on the river for the day across the road, that aside Excellent location for easy access to attractions in the area. Hotel offers a great restaurant for an evening meal plus couple of other options within walking distance and a excellent continental buffet breakfast to start your day. Never had chance to use the pool but looked beautiful 👍👍
A big thank you to the lovely management at the hotel …. super helpful after a late cancellation elsewhere had a late check in … management couldn’t do enough to help … also very kindly spoke to our next gite booking in french to help out .
