Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows, rooms were clean and well maintained, hot showers with great water pressure, view from the balcony was amazing.
Communal areas were well presented, my room itself wasn’t the most flashy. But very clean, comfortable, quiet and cozy. Which is what i personally value most.
Staff on the front desk and restaurant were all friendly, welcoming, professional and attentive. Food was great and reasonably priced.
Great access to the slopes, with the skiiable access down to La Grande Sûre chairlift just a few meters across the road, and a quick 200m waddle back from the Village Run access via the Rés Saint-Laurent carpark (may be a slightly quicker return access, but i didn’t check during my short stay).
Great town location, only a short walk to a number of ski shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars.
I would highly recommend it, reasonably priced and great value for money.
Great place to have a holiday in the summer. Great weather (not too hot but sunny). amazing views and walks nearby.
Amenities in the village for everyone. We enjoyed eating out, swimming, 10 pin bowling and lovely walks.

Built on a hillside opposite an amazing waterfall, with great facilities all linked by lift/escalators. Great ice rink, pool with slides, cinema, library, museum with free 'train' ride up to the park at the top of the valley.

Small village with access into Alpe D'Huez ski area.
Small village with access into Alpe D'Huez ski area. Plenty of ski hire shops and a few restaurants / bars. Some small local produce shops and a very small pharmacy.
Perfect if you are after a quiet ski holiday. If you are self catering, stock up on supplies in the valley before you arrive.
There is a public swimming pool and ice rink. You get one free entry to the swimming pool with your ski pass.
We visited for skiing but are considering going back in the summer as the Vaujany / Monfrais area is very pretty.

Beautiful place to be at and to engage in activities.
Beautiful place to be at and to engage in activities. The city tries hard to please and provides a variety of free open air shows, a free little road train to get from one place to another throughout town and a free activity pass to make the stay attractive.

Beautiful location, and near-perfect weather while we were there; locals and staff all quite friendly and it felt less impersonal than some big resorts I have been to; lots of skiing, and we progressed to black runs by the end of the week; except at peak times at the start or end of the day we never waited long for a ski lift. My son had lessons with ESF and grudgingly thought they did improve his skiing. Night life was sufficient for a family with school age teenagers but wouldn't be enough for the young singles crowd. Make sure to book your restaurants in advance. Getting there was slightly tricky; Ben's Bus only goes to a stop about 15k from Vaujany (Rochetaille), but we got a taxi easily enough from there (Alp Assistance taxi were very friendly and helpful, and sorted out our return to Rochetaille for us too). If you are self-catering, the main supermarket is the small Sherpa one near the top of the village, which was fine for the basics. We would definitely go back. Our main stress planning the trip was about COVID (my son missed his first dose of vaccine because he had COVID at the time) but we had proof of his one dose and previous infection on the NHS app. Jet2 made a bit of a song and dance about this when we checked in on the way out, but we had no issues when this was (rarely) checked while we were in France.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Vaujany
Vaujany is a good location for families. It's less suitable for those wanting night life (there isn't any!). The place is family friendly and offers a good balance of quality/value. Can be a real sun trap and it was very sunny for the whole of our stay, which makes a big difference to the experience. Efficient service from Vaujany Locations. Good communication throughout.
very clean. modern v functional kitchenette, better equipped than any I’ve stayed in before.good beds.quality bed linen and towels.clean modern bathroom.
beautiful decor. excellent location, 15 mins walk from Vaujany and 10 mins from ski lift(almost ski in and out).Villette is prettier than Vaujany(also lovely) and very quiet.
