Brilliant stay from start to finish. We drove from UK. Stopped and did a weekly shop en-route. The drive isn't bad because Vallorcine is quite low we didn't have to worry about bad road conditions. Parked car in secure underground car park. Collected keys to apartment, collected ski hire from shop adjacent to apartments (make sure you choose the correct shop). Dumped all our stuff in the rooms and the ski equipment in the secure locker room.
Bathroom, with seperate toilet and en-suite shower room is very handy. The kitchen is compact, but well equipped (remember to bring filter papers for the coffee machine!) and open plan to the lounge. We moved a couple of chairs into the bedrooms for more space. The balcony if huge, the sound of the river running is lovely.
Went for a swim in the pool (magnificent views of mountains), then went for dinner in the restaurant (not great for vegetarians, but the food is very good).
Next morning we jumped on the train outside and went to La Poya so the kids could get used to skiing again. They had a 2 hour refresher lesson. After that, we jumped on the bubble lift outside the hotel at 9 every morning and skied excellent pistes until the last bubble back down (the red run return to the hotel was closed). Did this every day.
There is a good bakery in the town, couple of decent eateries.

The hotel was absolutely amazing and indescribably perfect, nestled in nature and surrounded by mountains, making it very suitable for families. My booking included a suite with two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a balcony overlooking the mountains. The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from Chamonix city center, which gave me a sense of privacy and tranquility.
There are free parking spaces available within the hotel premises. I especially loved the elegant hotel lobby in the morning and before bedtime. The hotel staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful, making us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our stay.
My stay with my wife and children was truly unforgettable. A big thank you to all the staff, and I will definitely come back again!

Great location if you want to visit Chamonix and Swiss as well. Its 25 min to Mont Blanc and 30 to Martigny (SUI). Its super calm for families, frequent train will take you anywhere, no need to use car. Good if you want to have a calm holiday! In winter for sure great advantage - cablecar next to hotel.

when returning to area, i would probably not stay in Vallorcine, but in either Chamonix (where all the action is) or even Argentière which has excellent Le Fournil Chamoniard Patisserie (come early, by noon all the great stuff is finished) and grocery store .
I found we had to drive out of Vallorcine for everything

Apartment was bright and spacious. Beds were very comfy despite the fact that the single beds were quite narrow. Pool and sauna area were nice. Handy to have an indoor parking spot. The area is a wonderful starting point for hikes.
it was our second visit and surely there would be a third. The place offers all the facilities for great vacation. As a seasonal bonus we were offered free open return train tickets to Chamonix for the duration of our stay.
Helen is a perfect hostess, she really make us feel at home and gave us advice about what to do during pur stay at Chamonix. The house and the surroundings are incredible and perfect to relax and feel the nature.
The apartment was so lovely with all the decor, the facilities were great, having our own washing machine etc. location was perfect to travel up the mountains, a short train ride to chamonix & into Switzerland
