Delightful French farm setting well situated to serve as a base for visiting the area around Valencay -- only a short drive from the impressive and historic Chateau and Talleyrand's Tomb -- and with safe and convenient parking. The furnishings were both comfortable (nice clean bathroom) and charming (our room included an 18th century armoire crafted for the proprietor's great-grandmother.) The breakfast offerings, featuring fresh country breads, preserves/jam, fruit and cheeses -- were all locally sourced and tastefully laid out in a quiet dining room by the proprietor, Benjamin Godefroy, who joined us in a pleasant conversation (in English!) until the time came for him to see his daughter off to school. A wonderful rural break from standard hotel accommodations.

The property was very clean and the room was lovely. The surroundings were amazing.
We had use of the hot tub which was very nice.
The hosts were fantastic, very helpful and went above and beyond our expectations.

Perfect location, for the SOE 80 th memorial at Valencay, charming and very helpful hosts, the cottage is beautifully appointed with everything that you need, very comfortable beds, impeccably clean.
