We loved our stay here and plan to come back. Martine and Julian are wonderful hosts, warm, welcoming, and full of interesting information about the medieval city. Their house is absolutely beautiful, with lovely rugs and books lining the walls. The views from the guest bedroom are gorgeous. Highly recommend. We can’t wait to come back.

This village is beautiful and just the right size to explore. Loved the upper village and the old castle. It is surrounded by fields of grapes and many other small scenic villages. Would have liked more time to explore the surrounding villages and wineries.

After the impressive remains from the Roman empire, do not forget to fully explore the OLD CITY, the other side of (and above) the river. This is one of the most charming place I have ever seen. Many beautiful houses of 17 and 18 century. Each one has a garden. And the most extraordinary church - Ste Marie de l'Assomption - in the process of restauration, with vitrals offered by Giannada (Martigny, CH). Each lateral chapel of this very special cathedral is a marvel. The old wooden structures display an incredible range of shapes and colours. Let us hope that additional donors will soon restore the full splendor of this unique construction.

Vaison la Romaine is a charming town.
Vaison la Romaine is a charming town. The roman remains are not to be missed. The old town is also stunning. There is an excellent market and excellent shops selling local produce. The whole area is beautiful as there are stunning villages nearby, Villedieu has a lovely cafe where you can sit next to the fountain and watch the world go by. The area also has outstanding wines. All in all, it's a prefect area to visit.

Vaison la romaine for me is the perfect village with a little bit of everything. Old town and roman ruins all within walking of the main "modern" village. Plenty of restaurants to choose from to meet most dietary requirements. A mixture of typical provencal tourist shops and regular everyday shops. A terrific spot to base cycling or hiking holidays from with routes easily accessible.

- The terrasse where breakfast is served has stunning views of the Mont Ventoux.
- The room is quiet and discreet being separate from the main house
- the room facilities are high end
- the decoration of the room I with striking artworks is way above the typical B& B
- the host was completely charming
- the fresh home grown fruit and jams at breakfast
We were very pleased with our visit to Vaison-la-Romaine. The apartment was clean and cozy. We didn’t want to eat out so it was perfect since the kitchen has all appliances and there’s a store just 50 meters from the apartment. You are on the border of the centre (200m) and parking is free in the street. The hosts were kind and helpful. Thanks for the pleasant stay!
Beautiful hotel in the medieval part of Vaison. The view from the bar terrace is spectacular. Upon request we had one dinner there instead of in the restaurant (which has a terrace in an open space inside the hotel). The food is good, but rather expensive compared to other places. The room was spacious, and had a small kitchenette. Small but nice pool.
lovely hotel, beautiful terrace and public roomsreally enjoyable stay. Our room was both stylish and comfortable and they provided an excellent breakfast
