Our extended family of 14 recently enjoyed a delightful stay at Les Loges de l'Ecomusée D'Alsace. The hotel's charming setup, featuring multiple buildings that authentically replicate traditional Alsatian half-timbered houses, provided a unique and immersive experience. The accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed, and the staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive.
Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we highly recommend Les Loges de l'Ecomusée D'Alsace for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable stay in the region.

Except for our WiFi which was too slow, our stay was exceptional: the rooms and materials were perfect (lots of real oak), the design was new and trendy, the restaurant was out of this world and fairly priced, the wine was local and fantastic, the breakfast for €25 was bottomless and with fresh products (bread, fruits, jam, all kinds of cheeses, ham) and you can get free freshly made eggs and crepes upon demand, pools and jacuzzi were clean, the outdoor area clean, 1 hour massage for €85 was good, the staff was caring. Best stay ever, even got a free bottle of wine to make up for the WiFi problem.
Set within a vineyard between Colmar and Mulhouse, at the foot of the Markstein ski slopes, Hotel du Lac is located in the Domaine du Lac, which also includes Hotel les Rives.

Difficult to get there - take a train to Bollwiller, then taxi to the Ecomusee de L’Alsace, and the nearby Petit Prince Park is a bonus for families. Since I could not solve the logistics, I took a taxi from the central station in Mulhouse (train station Mulhouse Ville). Once I was there, it was easier to find a less expensive ride back.

I booked a few hours before my arrival as my other booking was cancelled. As I arrived in the late evening it was a bit hard to see the entrance of the hotel. There is a green gate which needs to be opened as it is a bit of a camp site made of some nice typical german houses. Each gest gets half or a full house which is quite nice with ground floor (living room and toilet) and the top floor was with the beds. The rooms are a bit old style.
This hotel is super cute and you are going to be immersing in that farm/village simple lifestyle.
The lodges are 2 floors. Living room and bathroom at the bottom and the bedroom at the top.
It is cosy and spacious and very quite at night time. Perfect for a good night of sleep.
The bed was comfortable, towels and sheets were of good quality.
I had a great time there.
It was a great stay. Friendly staff and great location of the hotel are worth mentioning. Individual cottage styled rooms are great. It was a nice experience staying in the nature just next to heritage museum.
It was lovely and comfortable. The staff we really helpful, they even kept our bags in reception whist we were at the park. Our daughter said it was the best hotel of the trip.
