The owner and staff were very kind and helpful. I had a heavy suitcase and my room was on the fourth floor with no elevator. However the staff carried my suitcase without complaint. The room was very clean, and the location is central. Great value for money.

Very accommodating and staff very helpful and kind held my bags next day while I had some errands to run. Very close to the train which can get you anywhere you need to go.. also go to the open air market by the port, great oranges. The breakfast at the Holiday Inn express is amazing, they accommodated every guest.

My wife and I recently spent three enchanting nights in Toulon, and we wished we could have stayed longer! Nestled in the vibrant pedestrian zone, our stay was nothing short of perfect. The location was ideal, allowing us to explore the charming streets, local boutiques, and delightful cafes with ease.
The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the rooftop pool at our hotel, offering stunning views of the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Although we didn’t opt for the hotel breakfast, the nearby restaurants and coffee shops provided plenty of delicious options to start our day.
We also discovered some phenomenal sandy beaches just a 20-30 minute drive from the city. These beaches were perfect for a relaxing day by the sea, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip.
If you’re planning a visit to Toulon, we highly recommend staying in the pedestrian zone. It’s the perfect spot to immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy a truly relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to return!

Loved the port and the naval base / ships. Loved the street markets. Loved the bars and cafes in the old town.
We didn't really need a car in Toulon - the station is walking distance from the port and you can walk to everything except beaches (which you can take a boat to reach from the waterfront.
Prices are reasonable. It is not a Moviestar / Celebrity spotting location like so many places on the Cote de Azure. It is populated by genuine and friendly local people plus some tourists.

We went to spent time with the family, the location was secondary importance. The house was nice but overall the part of the town we saw is not so pretty, lots of closed military installations. We did not do our research properly and expected a smaller, more touristic, coastal town. The Faron is nice and you have the beaches. For us it worked. Best pastries of my life at Chanteclair.

I had been to Toulon several years ago with mates for a rugby weekend but coming back this time, again for the Rugby World Cup we decided to stay close to the beach and harbour and found the location, and the city just a fantastic place to spend a few days towards the end of the summer.

We stayed in an apartment within 50 metres of the beach for one night during the off-season. We parked for free outside the property which was very convenient. There were nice cafes, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The neighbourhood was friendly, safe and walkable. We wished we had stayed two or more days to explore a bit more.

We really enjoyed our stay in Toulon. The apartment is super close to the beach, which has loads of lovely restaurants to eat/drink, and is a beautiful place to chill out! There are also some nice restaurants on the strip near the apartment towards the beach. We got an incredible pizza from a pizzeria there (Restaurant Pizzeria La Belle Vie)- would definitely recommend! The apartment itself was really spacious clean, and the amenities were great. Terrace was a great addition for our morning coffee / evening glass of wine.
We got a message just before arrival that they needed to move us from hotel Bonaparte, to hotel Little Palace. So my review will be more for that hotel, as I didn't see hotel Bonaparte. Hotel Little Palace has amazing location, right in the centre, close to the oarking garage and also there is a delicious bakery nearby. What we enjoyed the most was the kind staff of the hotel, that made our stay very enjoyable and answered ever, request. Highly recommend!
A simple hotel right in the centre of Toulon. A bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Our room had a little balcony overlooking the town which was a nice bonus. The reception was manned 24/7.
