We have stayed in Saverne several times as it is a convenient place to break the drive down to Southern France. It never disappoints, we have always been at Christmas time and the high street has wonderful decorations and Christmas lights. The Christmas market is fun and theres Vin chad and waffles, burgers etc and an ice rink for the children.

Super friendly staff - both at the hotel and at the restaurant. Great location, close to highway to get to Strasbourg etc but “isolated enough from the crowd). It is also right next to a castle which is worth visiting (literally 10 mins walking from your hotel room). Very good food and great wine list. The place really is “dog friendly”; we were there with our dog who was allowed at the restaurant (even for NYE dinner) and the staff was super nice about it.
The breakfast was delivered to our room and was good. The hotel is in a historic mansion high up the Haut Barr, and the view from our room was incredible.
