Beautiful surroundings, comfortable and spacious room. Really nice breakfast. We didn’t have a car so walked into the town which was really nice. Our friends who also stayed there had cars so we were able to get a lift back which was helpful.

Great value, location. Christine and Erik were fantastic and had a lovely time chatting with them. Right in the centre for market day. Great for exploring the area in general as well as the coast and north/ west Spain.

We didn’t have much time but we loved the ambiance of the place. The people we met were so helpful and kind.
We eat in ‘Au Repaire’ and thoroughly enjoyed the food which was served by a lovely girl. The manager was also most helpful.
We had a drink in ‘Le Chalet’ which again was served by a young guy who was so pleasant & gave his time to show us the way to our restaurant.
We also met a girl on her way to the baths who took time to show us the way to a restaurant, she took out her phone and walked with us.
This is hospitality and hopefully we will return. I have already told many friends who will certainly visit Salies-de -Béarn .

Salies de Bearn was lovely, architecture was gorgeous and the Christmas decorations around town were lovely. Unfortunately there was not much open on 24 and 25 December, something that was very disappointing as a tourist. So sanwiches and wine for 2 nights running was not what we had expected or were looking for. I think many towns don't think about people who are away from home and would like a family Xmas with others in different cultures and towns..

When I return I will bring some form of air conditioning (Dyson type). No hairdryer was a surprise. Take out the old slippery bath a replace it with an Italian non slip shower unit.
Leave simple instructions for all equipment and provide tv in English.
Other than these moans, it was the perfect home from home for us and our little dog. The quality of the equipment was good and the bed was first class!

The perfect historic well preserved small town: good size for walking around and getting familiar with everything, good and interesting museum and local businesses, picturesque corners everywhere and an extraordinary history of its own. Besides all these virtues, it is a good departing point for several good short excursions to nice surroundings.

Beautiful little town with all the spa experience if that's your thing but also lots to see and do locally if you it's not. There are enough shops and food options and lively places if you're looking for a drink. There are also quiet streets to wonder down and paths out of town for longer walks and cycling. Interesting historic towns nearby and about an hour from Bayonne-Biarritz-Anglet and the Basque coast if you want some seaside fun. Pau is also an hour away and well worth a visit for a compact city experience. You're also near the Spanish border and the wonders of Navarra and Gipuzkoa....

The hotel was in the town and had lovely grounds where you could enjoy a drink. The rooms are large and comfortable with air conditioning. We had a lovely view over the park.
Restaurant was good and the food and wine lovely. Breakfast was varied with a good choice.
As golfers we enjoyed being at a club, playing 9 holes late in the day. Phillipe, was fantastic making us feel very welcome. The view from our room was pleasant over the golf course. Salies de Bearn is a charming village as are the other villages in the area.
It was a surprise to have a casino right inside the hotel! Super nice to see an old and historic building being still used; it feels like you are inside the Gand Hotel Budapest (the movie). 100% recommend the breakfast - most delicious we ever had in a hotel.
