The staff were all very welcoming and helped us to reserve a table at a restaurant in town on the Sunday night. The food was very good at breakfast and on the Monday evening.
An 18th-century house located 6.2 mi from Carentan Train Station, Chambres d'hôtes de l'Église offers a conservatory, and WiFi is free of charge in the entire property.

Quiet location just out of the hub bub of town. Very nice room in owner’s home. Owners are incredibly kind and generous. Good breakfast. The best part of the stay was the conversation with the owners, and the surprise upon learning they did not take credit cards was the heartfelt offer that we did not have to pay as we are adult children of soldiers who served in Normandy. We were completely moved to tears by this unbelievable gesture.

The town is stunning and there are plenty of things to see regarding the events of D-Day. The Airbourne Museum is very well built and provides lots of thought-provoking displays. There is plenty of space around the church in the village square, which is kept in great order considering the amount of visitors it receives each day. There are plenty of cafe and restaurant options in the town. We arrived early (10am) and it was perfect, but the crowds soon arrived and by the time we left the museum at 12.30, it felt considerably busier.

Beautiful place but always a struggle to find somewhere to eat! Everywhere is either closed or closing!! Did find a gem of a restaurant though called “Les Délices du Cotentin”. Beautiful food and lovely staff, couldn’t have been nicer!

The D-Day Battle Tours group is headquartered here.
The D-Day Battle Tours group is headquartered here. That is a big plus for the village. The museum is worthwhile too. And walking around the town was a very pleasant way to spend an extra day. We were there in the fall when the crowds had thinned out. If I ever visit again, I will consider arranging bicycles to allow further wandering, without the isolation of a car.
We never considered that bus service would be unavailable on Sunday, our last day here. As a result, we were so concerned about getting to Bayeux that we cut our visit short to be assured of taxi service. But Allo taxi service was prompt, reasonably priced, and could have been scheduled well in advance. My mistake!

Good for Normandy beaches, not far from Cherbourg ferry.

Restaurants are okay, not a party town, good if you are interested in WW11 history
Friendly locals who respond well to a smile and my very poor French so give it a try.

The town is very busy during the day with D-Day visitors. The Airborne Museum was excellent, if you are into that sort of thing, with interactive tablets that added a significant dimension to the experience. I had two and a half hours in there which was still not enough.
The town square is busy yet beautiful, if slightly dominated by tourist bars. I think the local market is on a Thursday.
Saint Mere Eglise is a great step off point for Utah Beech and the Cotentin Peninsula.

We had stayed at this hotel in previous years and was made very welcome. This time due to management change, of which we were not advised nor told about the later revised check in time of 1800 hours, we did not enjoy our stay and on talking to other guests they had the same opinion of the new management.

La suite is possibly one of the nicest accommodations that we have ever used.
The house itself has been lovingly restored to its former glory in a manner which retains many original features.
Our host Florent was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, as well as just simply being a real nice kinda fella.
We will definitely not pass through Sainte-Mère-Église again without booking a room for a night or two.
Absolutely beautiful property.
Amazing gîte right in the heart of Sainte-Mère-Église,looking out onto the town square and church. Plenty of space and comfortable bedrooms. We'll stocked kitchen and enclosed rear yard for relaxing. Free parking in the church square with a residents disc provided by lovely owner,Mme Cousin.
Great basic hotel that's easy to get to and park in a lovely area, the owners are great and make you feel welcomed and offer advice if needed.
There are deals for attractions on the local area that are worth looking into if you don't want to prebook attractions.
The staff were amazing, friendly and informative. We ate dinner at the hotel in the evening and the food was great. Breakfast was simple but very sufficient. The rooms were clean and well equipped.
This was more an apartment than the rental of a room in a hotel. Very convenient for families with younger children and to explore a the area. Center of town is walkable.
