The location of the hotel was quiet and right on the sea front, with easy access to the town and on the other direction, along the coast.
The parking was sufficient for when we went and felt secure.
Breakfast was a buffet with a coffee machine. The evening meal we also had was very nice.
The room was sufficient for 2 and had a good sea view. The bathroom was a reasonable size too.
The decor was nice.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke pretty good English (better than our French!)

The view onto the seashore was so relaxing. The hotel was totally quiet . There is a lawn with sunloungers with a view of the pool and sea with the Isle d'Oleron beyond. I heard waders like Redshank calling! Egrets could be watched from our breakfast table, feeding on the newly exposed my as the tide receded. A birders dream!
The staff were all delightful, friendly and helpful. Several spoke good English, which was great for my husband, but I wanted to practise my French ( why else go to France?!) so was pleased that the receptionist on our second visit preferred to speak French!
My room on the Village side had no view; the windows were opaque half way for privacy, so an inner hall with basket chairs plus a high coffee table with bar stools was very welcome when it rained. The outer door was half glass with garden+ sea view. You could also sit in the bar and use tables there, plus a 3 piece basket chair suite in the spacious Reception area. There is no actual lounge.
Good restaurant. Helpful waiters/waitresses . Almond milk option at breakfast! The Brioche loaf was low in gluten. They did get a gluten free bread for me but it was seeded so I couldn't eat it, which was a shame, as it looked Artisanal!
We felt at home there. It was truly restful. We had 7 nights in 2 stays (on the way South then on the way back.) Great bird watching not far away. (Bruage marshes)

Most of the town faces the main beach area which is very oyster production orientated and not very pretty. There are a number of great restaurants and a nice town centre by the church - it’s not immediately obvious. The council has gone to great lengths to make the public areas nice with gardens and promenades.

The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable, I slept really well.
the check-in process was quick and the staff were really helpful and friendly and had good English which was great for us as we only speak a little French.
The hotel is a little out of the village but the location is lovely on the beach front and there are nice places to walk nearby, the walk into the village is about 20 minutes which was fine.
The hotel is modern and stylish. In a beautiful location right on the water.
The rooms were very clean, bright and comfortable. The staff were helpful and cheerful. The car park was well off the road and secure.
The Restuarant was very good indeed, our evening meal was delicious and breakfast was nicely presented and tasty.
Fantastic location with exceptional sea views. we booked late but we’re so glad we did. The Ile d’Oleron is unspoiled and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Staff at the hotel were really lovely and helped to make our stay very enjoyable. the room was bright and airy and very clean.
This is a lovely hotel, the breakfast and breakfast staff were fantastic. The Spa area is just perfect, and the room was perfectly comfortable with good sized towels and a very nice bed
