The hotel is out of the town, Cahors. We wanted to be in town to visit a friand and did not plan to rent a car, The first day we had to rent a taxi. However, after a day the staff helped us find a free, departmental bus service that took us into town and to the train station.

The sweet and helpful check-in clerk told us where we could park without charge. While not right in the old part of the city, it was close enough to walk to restaurants. Breakfast was available for an extra charge, and the variety made it worthwhile. Good elevator! Turns out this is part of a low-key Brittany-based chain, and we would happily stay in others given the chance.

NEW owners, they seem to be finding there feet, to take the place of a great chef must be hard, but food was good and table service first rate I assume they will be able to improve rooms soon ours was rather down at heel, It is a great location to the motorway or old road to Cahor, we slept well but lock was missing on french window, or we could not find it,so we slept with door open as hot evening, maybe a note in the information booklet on how to have window open but with a lock on it Breakfast,, we saw people waiting for food, this needs to improve or just get over Covid

The hotel bedrooms are a little tired but the patio is a bonus. There are great views of the surrounding countryside. What makes this hotel really special is the fabulous food and the exceptionally friendly staff. These were easily the best dinners we have enjoyed on our tour of France and Spain. Highly recommended if you enjoy good food.
