The owner was great. Upgraded us (not at our request) at no extra charge as he had a larger room available. Very friendly. He even helped carry our bags to our room which was very kind of him. Breakfast was simple but excellent. Hotel was incredibly quiet overnight despite it's central city location. Public parking v convenient. Everything was just great. Perfect location for a short city break.

The breakfast was excellent - we chose the 'American' breakfast which i really wasn't sure about, but it exceeded both our expectations and it was perfectly cooked. We will be returning definitely for another breakfast - scrambled eggs, various charcuterie and very fresh oakleaf lettuce, croissants, bread, cheeses and yoghurt and more..
The setting was very, very quiet and the chateaux/castle is very interesting and steeped in history and very French.

Location was fine, can is quite small so almost everything was within walking distance. I used local public transport only for convenience. Even Ouistreham was (just) within walking distance (2 1/2 hours or less). Public facilities were vey good.
