Everything was very good except one of the towels doesn’t smell good. And the shower gel bottle was almost empty. In the fridge there were two half drank bottles. The staff changed them with the new ones. Thanks for quick response.

One of the major seaports connecting France and England, Saint Malo is Brittany’s most visited town and a tourist destination in its own right.
The Old Town overlooks the English Channel and is completely surrounded by restored walls. You get a great view of them if you arrive on the ferries from England to St Malo (either direct or by the Channel Islands). Once an island, this citadel now shelters behind it the hundreds of sailing boats bobbing in the modern harbor.
Within the Old Town are bars and restaurants serving oysters from nearby Cancale, and many of the St Malo hotels. The most notable sights are the cathedral with its colorful, stained-glass window, and the castle - site of the town's museum.
The beaches are sandy, though the water is somewhat bracing. A causeway leads to Grand Bé, a rocky island housing the tomb of Chateaubriand, its most famous son. To the south is the 14th-century Solidor Tower, a remarkable collection of artifacts from voyages around Cape Horn. Further inland is Labyrinthe du Corsaire, a huge maze that will keep kids busy for hours.
In the Rance River, connecting the sea to Dinan, is the world’s first tidal power station. The road over it leads to Dinard Airport, the closest to Saint-Malo.

St Malo is nice just not in the winter because it often rains and cold. If you must, stay in a modern hotel at least you can curl in the bed, order room service or have a good read at night when it was too wet and cold to venture out. Have an excellent lunch at Bordier ( and buy all butter type imaginable), enjoy one or two kouign amman, drink fresh ice teas in most restaurants ( which is non existence in Paris).

The town has many points of interest but unless you know a "local", it is not always easy to see beyond the "Intra Muros". Getting acquainted with the history of the town, from medieval port, via Chateaubriand, and up to the impact on the town of the Second World War will give you layers of appreciation to think about for some time after you have left. Dinard should also not be ignored. For the locals, there is a significant feeling of "separateness", but a boat trip across the Rance will give you access to a whole different experience, from seaside town to architectural gem, not to mention very special views of St Malo.

The high wall that surrounds the city of Saint-Malo forms a loop of about two kilometers. It is possible to go down and back up wherever you want, from the different staircases located at each gate. We did the whole loop and then went down and stroll the old city. it was wonderfull

We enjoyed the lively, bustling atmosphere and the many independent shops. We particularly enjoyed our walk along the city ramparts. We had an excellent lunch at a restaurant quite close to the historic entrance gate. The staff had great personalities and were extremely friendly. The Sancerre was divine!
It is easy to get around St. Malo on foot. Parking might be challenging as all the car parks looked full. We avoided it.

A fabulous hotel right in the middle of Old Saint-Malo with secure parking. Can’t speak highly enough of Nolan who greeted us at reception with a lovely welcome and who helped us with a number of questions that we had. A credit to the hotel. Our room was lovely (501), on the top floor and with space to spare. Would definitely book it again. Breakfast was good with options for standard Continental or Continental + cooked items.
We had a lovely stay in this stylish boutique hotel. The decor is gorgeous and the rooms are spotlessly clean and inviting. Great communal space around reception with plenty of tables and books. Generous breakfast buffet. Very quiet on the outskirts of town with easy parking. We would love to stay here again!
We drove so information from hotel as to best parking location and access out of office hours was excellent. Room was very nice, spacious and great location, all around excellent experience.
Would love to have stayed longer
Great location in the walled city of Saint Malo. Really great staff who were helpful throughout our 2 night stay. I appreciated storage of our 2 bikes and good advice on places to eat. Hotel was spotlessly clean
