Beautiful spot with wonderful hosts. Very large room and bathroom in a stunning building. The view from the room was so charming and private. We were lucky to visit with them over a stone table + their cider. We met their dogs (and horses). This gave me great joy and was a big stress reliever while traveling.
The staff were helpful and friendly. We could not have asked for more.
The location is dreadful and it is such a shame in such a beautiful town that the sad bikers go round the hotel on a circuit all night. The local police are nowhere in sight.

Saint Lo is in a very central location of Calvados so making it easy to get to lots of other places such as Bayeux, Coutances, Avranches, Agon-Coutainville and Mont St Michel. The town itself has everything you need for a town break, museums, churches, history, good restaurants and lots of shops. They seem to have many shoe shops.

This hotel is very well located just outside the historic walled city of Saint Lo and close to the railway station and the cyclepaths. The room was exactly what you would expect from a Mercure - clean, comfortable and well equipped. We chose to dine out but the menu for the hotel restaurant did look interesting. Our bikes were stored in a meeting room on the lower floor. Although close to the railway we were not disturbed by noise from the trains.
Staff super friendly and helpful. The lady in charge, Stephanie i think, organised her husband who left us to a really nice restaurant and gave us the number of a taxi to return to the hotel.
