The hotel & pool/garden areas are very attractive & well maintained with plenty of parking & right by a beach. All staff were excellent. Breakfast was very good with options to eat outside on terrace or by the pool. Rooms and bathrooms were bungalow style in the gardens & were clean & comfortable.

Pleasant enough, but not much to do if the sun isn't shining. Nice cycle rides to villages around the area and good sea-food. However, getting on and off the island is a traffic nightmare which deters you from going elsewhere. The beach at Les Huttes was great, sandy, great waves and safe.
Rochefort is definitely worth a visit.

A simple laid back beach location with great seafood and a few interesting attractions. See the fort and the lighthouse, especially. The bird rehabilitation center was interesting - and you're supporting a good cause.
I found the local markets to be wonderful; real local events, not too touristy. Eat the oysters! (among the best in France), and the specialty eglade.

We enjoyed our stay in a self-contained unit. There was a little confusion over the provision of towels and sheets. This is because part of the sheet is a hotel. We came from the UK so could not bring sheets. However the manager provided us with sheets and towels at no extra cost. Much appreciated.
It was low seasoned and very pleasant and peaceful.
