we were 4 motorbikers on very short notice for 4 single rooms, including dinner. it was an excellent stay, visit the marvellous village as well by foot. rooms, dinner, breakfast, all served with a big and generous smile in this somewhat remote location. i warmly recommend the hotel, call before so that the chef can get his shopping list right before. motos parked on the sidewalk in front of the hotel.

The apartment is in a building with older residents so it is very quiet and beautifully clean and well presented. I stayed one night and it’s fine for a short stay. The owner met me at the property and was very welcoming and helpful. There is a small terrace off the kitchen which is a nice touch.

We enjoyed an easy walk (on both days) to the main square with the church where there are bars. There are some interesting monuments, especially to the Great War. The town is set in lovely countryside, sadly spoiled by a paper factory which provides the town's main employment. We drove to St Bernard Les Comminges with a stunning church - one of the most beautiful villages in France - a short drive away. We hoped to return on one of the pretty routes with views of the Pyrénées but we were in rain.
We also visited the little motor museum in St Gaudens run by volunteers. It celebrates the years when a motor race was held in St Gaudens, from the mid 1920s until 1953 when an accident at Le Mans forced it to close. Enzo Ferrrari raced there. The museum is called Musée du Circuit du Comminges. There is some fascinating old movie film which can be seen.

Lots of small things combined made our stay here fabulous. From the most welcoming arrival, then an upgrade to a larger room to accommodate our two dogs, combined with great restaurant recommendations within the town, it certainly felt we had chosen our nights stay well. Sylvie, in our opinion, is definitely one of the best owner/managers we have had the joy of meeting and why we would return to her hotel in a heartbeat.
And, there is ample free parking immediately outside the hotel!
Our stay here was absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend and I wanted a relaxing few days to escape from a busy working world. From start to finish our stay was exactly that. The hotel, room, view, food and pool were exceptional. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast included was an absolute bargain and a lovely way to start the day too. It is quite isolated so I'd reccomend getting a car if you want to visit other parts of the island. We Will definitely be returning!
I had a lovely stay of 2 nights here. The hosts, Jo and Nick, are great.
The room was very very nice, too.
I was traveling by bicycle and it's just a few km's out of town of Saint-Gaudens. So for anyone not here with a car, but with a bicycle: yes, it's entirely doable to do the round-trip for restaurant visits!
Overall, I can highly recommend staying here.
Sadly there was a very noisy carnival outside the room window on the day and evening of my booking. Whilst I understand that this was outwith the hotel's control, I would not have stayed here if I known this was the case, after a long day of driving. As it was a non refundable booking I had no option to stay.
