A very inspiring house filled with art (paintings, books, ...) where the mutual interest into playing the piano was encouraged by the house keeper. :-)

Good location since it doesn't take long by foot to get to many different locations (supermarket, bars, restos, museum, ...)
The layout of Rocroi is very interesting. The central square has 10 streets radiating from it, and the town is surrounded by the remains of a star fort, much of the battlements of which are remarkably well preserved. Many of the town's buildings survive from the 16th century.

The location right on the Place. You needed to open the windows to have a good view of the church and the town centre as the lower glass panes are opaque. But still great! The town of Rocroi is historically very interesting, with its star shaped fortifications, and many buildings looking as if they date back to when it was garrisoned by troops. I had no idea it was so unusual and interesting.
Superb property in a superb location. Right in the Rocroi Vauban fort. The building is the old Spanish barracks from the 1700s, but now a very modern apartment with great facilities. Easy walking to the entire Rocroi fortress. Parking right outside on the street. Also has a washing machine which is fantastic when travelling.
An older but characterful hotel set within the heart of an historical fortified town. A bar and restaurant are situated on the ground floor and there are other eating options within the town. The room was good sized, clean and comfortable with a view over the town square where free parking was possible.
Very nice modern property right in the heart of Rocroi, seems almost new or refurbished to a good standard. Lovely clean bathrooms and good showers. Travelled alone but there is plenty of room for 4 people with a good sized living room/kitchen area
