Very clean and modern, kind and greeting hosts. Excellent breakfast included, with pastries made by the host himself and little treats. Were able to borrow a bike.
Maison Vue mer panoramique is situated in Rivedoux-Plage, 14 km from La Rochelle Train Station, 15 km from L'Espace Encan, and 18 km from Parc Expo de La Rochelle.

For convenience to the airport and La Rochelle, this was an ideal location in which to stay on Île de Ré. In September it was already a bit sleepy but the bicycle paths and public transport ensured that it's easy to see other towns and the city too. Be aware that public transport from La Rochelle finishes early on weekdays after the summer peak.

I would stay here again as the location was great, the pool was lovely and the room was nice. However the staff need to get up to scratch. The reception staff need to speak a little English, the cleaning staff are good at cleaning but I had to ask for toilet paper, shower gel and tea and coffee to be replenished every day. The restaurant was expensive and I couldn't find anything on the menu I liked. I am not fussy and in fact I am a chef - the staff were friendly but the restaurant closed between 4 & 5 so that the staff could have a break - and closed completely on Tuesday - not what I would expect from any hotel. Equally the hotel had no staff on a public holiday! Bizarre

The whole island is a total delight especially towards end of season when slightly quieter and cooler.
Hotel choice (Hotel Le Grand Large) is a real gem with a good resturant and very attentive staff.
Great beaches basically where you are.
2nd time of staying and won't be the last.

We went at a time when Covid numbers were high at home.
We went at a time when Covid numbers were high at home. We found it easy to be careful- we travelled in our own car, left the windows open when we went out and ate outside. We were very happy to be on Ile de Re especially as it had seemed we may not get away. It was charming and the food and weather were very good

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Rivedoux-Plage
- The location close to the centre of Rivedoux-Plage with many dining options, bars, bike rentals, etc. around. The beaches are a leasurely 15 mins walk away.
- Stephanie was a great host, sincerely interested in her guests and supporting whenever needed. Certainly among the best hosts we had so far
- The room was small, still well designed to fit our family of 3 including our stuff for a 4 weeks trip
- great breakfast, Stephanie and Christophe are running a boulangerie foodtruck on weekends, the quality of which you can taste
Restaurant, their signiture restaurant would probably be descirbed as "boutique". It was not cheap, but the food & service were impeccable.
Parking, not the easiest to find, but once located, it was perfect. Secure and right outside the back of the hotel.
Room, clean, comfortable and well presented.
This was the worst value for money motel we have stayed at. Not only did we pay over the odds for a hotel but also we were faced with a 300 euro deposit for the room after paying for the room in advance. Staff were uninterested
Beautiful view from a (very small) balcony overlooking the harbour. Everybody at the hotel was very kind and helpful. The car parking is a 3 minutes walk, but luggage can be dropped of direct at the hotel.
