The hotel was very quiet whern I checkin in on a sunday evening. I was upgraded to a bigger room although this did not seem all that large. It was not ideal for my needs but was inexpensive.

Nice little city, enjoyed the old part of the city centre, some good independent shops. Usual museums, cathedral there was nothing outstanding
To make us stay longer than the one night though to be fair only stopped off as it was en route of our road trip.

Reminiscent, but much better than, old towns like Shrewsbury Chester, Cirencester. I am sorry to say that public facilities in France are off the scale compared to England. It is a joy to walk round the vibrant streets and along the river. Massive floral displays everywhere, great choice of shops and eating places. That indefinable atmosphere which seems unique to France.

Quimper is a city centre with very many beautiful Breton houses which climb up the hill from the river (which has some large fish). The hill might be a problem for some but it's well worth the effort, there is a lot to see on the flatter parts of the city. The cathedral has a relatively plain interior for a baroque church. No choir at the mass we attended.
It's difficult not to praise Quimper too much as a place to stay and it was a first comment when we told people we had visited Quimper and their first response was that it is beautiful.

Charming and beautiful city.
Charming and beautiful city. Great dining options, beautiful cathedral, interesting history, friendly residents. If you stay near the old quarter, it's walkable. Train station is close to the city center as well. I would have enjoyed 4 nights, but only got to stay two.

It is an interesting Breton city with an old centre in which many buildings are preserved. There are plenty of restaurants, a multitude of crêperies and cafés as well as shops supplying various produce in a wide range of consumer needs and wants.
The Saint Corentin Cathedral, Musée des Beaux Arts, Breton Museum and various gardens all provide the opportunity for the visitor to appreciate the culture and history of Quimper.
If staying in the centre everywhere is within a walkable distance.

Helpful staff at the Tourist Office; several museums (Musee des Beaux-Arts), some town walks with information boards on the way. Much of the centre is pedestrianised. Plenty of good food (not only crepes, but a large variety of those.) Worth going beyond just the tourist areas (the Cathedral & the Market) for better value & variety. (We liked the Messidor Boulangerie for coffee & croissants.)

A decent and clean triple room, not spacious enough but met our needs and expectations for a one-night-stay. The hotel is located at the outskirts of nice Quimper and very easily reachable by own car! Quiet and relaxing sleep ang great value for money! We did not opted for breakfast.
Great location, easy access and perfect setting. Car parking was also very practical. We have family in Quimper and will always be returning to stay at Hotel Gradlon when visiting!
Very much like other Premiere Classe hotels. Fairly basic but with the essentials. Quiet and comfortable. I do enjoy the breakfasts they provide. Excellent value for money.
