We liked everything. Our 'rrom with a view' of the river and boats, the decor, our lovely comfy bed, the staff were genuinely warm and helpful - one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in.
The hotel restaurant La Pension du Moulin, formerly known as Les Ajoncs d’Or, welcomes you all year round, 7 days a week, in a cozy and warm setting in the center of Pont Aven.

Location was ideal, struggled to find a park but successful in the end. The bed was comfortable staff polite and helpful in lots of ways. Beautiful little village and we arrived as a market was taking place

The room is in a silly excellent location in the very centre of Port-Aven with a boulangerie 50m away. Facilities were great and it was very easy to collect the keys from a very helpful and friendly host. My wife speaks French so communication was easy. There is a supermarket 300m away. Restaurants are excellent and within walking distance. Post-Aven is a delightful village, which receives a lot of tourist visitors. A simply excellent stay.

I loved the mobile home. It has a lot of space, which includes a utility room with a washing machine. It was very clean and comfortable. It is in a good location, close to nearby towns and cities. The owner is lovely too. We used Google Translate to communicate with each other because neither of us speak the other's language.

Without a car, getting here was tricky as I only had a brief window. It was worth it - next time I will stay in this area - the surrounding area is gorgeous, the town is adorable and I really love the crepes, bread, biscuits — i now need a few weeks of salad alone.
I walked along both sides of the canal where you can take a wooded trail. It was so pretty. On one walk, I missed a turn off and ended up on a road but I saw houses, and farms ended up at a pretty temple, so I was happy anyway! Walk up hills to see the beautiful houses…so interesting and lovely in town and out.

Beautiful small city with great history od Pont Aven painting school. Nice museum, great restaurants: La promenade, Les Mimosas and small creperies: Creperie du Port and Crêperie Auberge de la Fleur d'Ajonc (amazing Moules Fritté).

The hotel was clean, but rather Spartan! Not a luxury hotel.
The hotel was clean, but rather Spartan! Not a luxury hotel. It was not easily accessible by foot to town. Down then up a very steep hill with 100 steps - not somewhere for anybody with even minor mobility problems
The advertised free wifi in all places is not true. There is no wifi in bedrooms only in a very ‘airport’ lounge area!
Bedrooms are clean and well cared for, but I felt I was in an upmarket Hostel! Rather than a Hotel

A small town with mainly arts shops and restaurants.
A small town with mainly arts shops and restaurants. The river runs through it and your can access it to climb on some rocks - you cannot really swim in it. You need a car to explore the area.
I enjoyed a fish platter at Ets Publier Laurent- nothing fancy, you get the food plane on a plate - they have great nice wines, great views but do not exact a fancy food experience as they don’t spend time to “pimp” up the atmosphere.
Also enjoyed a real nice afternoon at the beach of Keranouat - very different from Plage Tahiti. Quiet, kite surfers and a nice road D1 that runs really along the coast which is beautiful. Eat at Le Casier - great food and very nice staff and walk along the port de Trevignon- its well worth it.
Also visited Quimper - a real nice and old town with many shops and restaurants.

We loved this quaint and picturesque town, with its history based on art appreciation. The town is filled with galleries, though in mid-October, these are only open on weekends, and many of the small boutiques are also closed for annual holidays. If you love crepes, this is the region for you! Walking around the town is easy and there are photo opportunities around every corner!
The position of this hotel was just perfect, especially because our room had a view looking over the river, boats and estuary. The on-site restaurant together with its terrace offered a good range of delicious seafood, beautifully cooked and presented. The breakfast was good too. Free street car parking was available close to the hotel, another reason to enjoy its position. We visited early May, not sure car parking would be so easy or free in high season. Staff friendly and helpful.
Impressed with the size of the 2-bedroom apartment: in fact a decent-sized end-of-terrace house in a smart development of 20 or so alongside the smartly presented main hotel. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and bedroom, and two bathrooms! Very good value for money, and whilst the drive up the hill from town is a little complex, the walk down the steep steps is straightforward.
Very convenient location, nice clean rooms wirh a high ceiling, excellent shower, pretty over the market place. Adjacent bar serves perfect coffees, the breakfast in the hotel is lovely
We loved our stay here. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable with great views. Perfect location to explore beautiful Pont-aven.
