Nice, quiet out of the way castle. Close to honfleur and convenient to the château de Breuil which has a Calvados distillery tour. We were given coupons by the château de belle isle sur Risle for a free tour.
Had a wonderful dinner on our first night.

3 of us stayed in a spacious apartment. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. We were traveling by bicycle and were able to keep our bikes in a secure, indoor space.

I have travelled through Pont Audemer dozens of times, and had quick stays there for a few hours. It is a lively place, very compact. I stayed a full night on 20th May 2024. and enjoyed having a few drinks in the main street. I can't remember the name of one bar that had many interesting objects hanging around: like a vintage motorbike and a seventy year old bicycle etc. Even a Gendarmes hat - like on 'Hello, Hello".
The place fascinates me, with its old, historic buildings, and bars and eating places. It has a great atmosphere and is within striking distance of the main ports of Le Havre and Caen.

Pont-Audemer is a beautiful small city steeped in history.
Pont-Audemer is a beautiful small city steeped in history. Time should be spent exploring its streets, courtyards and alleys as well as the rivers and streams. Not for nothing is it called the Venice of Normandy

Pont Audemer is a wonderful small town, ancient houses clustered around a network of canals.
The Sadi Carnot restaurant just up the same street is a really good place to eat, a twist on local regional dishes cooked to perfection. The twice weekly street market are an excellent source of good food and much else.
Lots of good walks and countryside in the vicinity (when it stops raining!) and well worth visiting both Rouen and Le Havre if you want a trip out.

Pleasant small Norman town.
Pleasant small Norman town. Lovely setting with several waterways passing through the town. The church is worth the visit. The half-timbered houses throughout make Pont Audemer charming. The Museum is well worth the visit and is just the right size, i.e. not too big. Nice selection of restaurants.

The apartment was perfect - characterful, comfortable and well equipped set in a beautiful courtyard location in the historic centre of this small city. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close by. Although there is no private parking, plenty of street parking outside is available. Jean Claude was an excellent and helpful host. Pont-Audemer is lovely to explore and is a first class location to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommended!
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Nice coffee too. Hotel was clean and tidy, staff were friendly, beer and wine in the bar was reasonably priced and varied. Parking onsite was a great help.
Very charming hotel, very good restaurant with gastronomic dinner
Cozy room in the orangerie with nice view on the beautiful garden
Very quite and peacefull hotel
