Room had a balcony with a fantastic view of the castle, unfortunately the room was very small and difficult for 2 people to move around at the same time.

Pennautier is a beautiful town. Very quiet, but many beautiful things to see. The Boulangerie just down the road from La Beytina makes the BEST caramel muffins I have ever had. I also recommend the quiche – YUM. We were so excited to stumble across a food truck in town serving New Zealand and Pacific Islander food! I recommend the fish and chips and Honey Soy Chicken. As we were in town for a wedding, we didn't spend much time sight seeing in Pennautier or Carcassonne. Next time we return, we will definitely stay at La Beytina, so we can tour the area a bit more.
