A quiet town with some nice shops (a good Vinotheque, Librairie, Boulangerie) and a nice church, lovely views of hills, a good point to explore Alsace further. I loved Ribeauville which can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.
At Pairis, just out of Orbey, a wonderful Chocolatier-Patissier called Chez Madei.
The hosts were super nice and helpful. Our room was tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was prepared with love and included many home-made items. Orbey is a lot less touristy than Kaysersberg and other famous towns and villages in the area. The house has nice balconies and a backyard, where you can relax if the weather is good.
In a wooded and very quiet area is this hotel. Beautiful family suite with two spacious bedrooms, a living room, balcony with a view of the mountains and a kitchen (with 4 hotplates and a dishwasher). But read more about the kitchen to avoid surprises.
The breakfast was good. It's convenient that the hotel has a restaurant. The view from our top-floor family room overlooking the forest and lake was quite impressive.
