We are regular clients of the Ibis Calais Car Ferry Hotel. We stayed there for the night of 27 December, 2024. Our experience was sub-standard in a number of respects.
1. Room 08. One bedside light had a completely broken switch.
2. The in-room tea/coffee provided had no milk of any description.
3. Breakfast is normally one of the real bonus points of using this Ibis. On this visit it was very poor. The normal coffee machine was unserviceable and there was no hot coffee available at all. A microwave in the dining-room would have helped.
There was only one staff member, a very hard working lady, on duty to check guest out, clean and clear tables and to replenish the scrambled eggs, which were provided in small, cold, batches, after requests.
4. I suggest that it is not a good idea to have the room servicing supply carriers of sheets, towels etc. in the corridors at peak check-out time.
