we arrived at Nantua in the early evening and booked the room at the last minute. The owners are a charming French couple who showed us the studio. Very comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen. TV. We were concerned when we saw the property from the outside as it’s an old building, but the owners remodeled the unit beautifully.

What a charming home to stay in. Andre and his wife are such a sweet and heartwarming couple. And their home from Emperor Napoleon III era is very comfortable and full of history. Very quiet and comfortable location. We especially loved their beautiful outdoor space to take a delicious breakfast and their many adorable cats and dogs. If you enjoy staying someplace unique this is a great choice. We hope to return.

Nantua is set on a beautiful lake in a perfect setting. There is a great bar/restaurant beside the lake where you can while away an evening and watch the sun go down with a beautiful sunset over the lake. There are lovely walks and the town feels very peaceful.

Great location & staff were great as messaged to say we were going to arrive much later than planned as had broken down. They even called us later in the evening to explain the doors would be locked and how to get in. Night staff were very helpful.
Wonderful views of the lake when we woke up and Nantua is a lovely village. We even found a market in the town square for some provisions & some lovely local patisseries.
Hotel is very modern and pleasant to stay in & is accurately represented on the Booking.com page.
Clean, comfortable rooms & plenty of parking spaces.
Views over the lake were charming and setting was very peaceful.
Plus point - restaurant food exceeded expectations and M'D was efficient at dealing with my query.
Breakfast was served in an outside accessed room - mostly cold option but plenty available.
