I thought this might have been a bit too far from other sites we wanted to visit, but it was perfect. Less touristy and much more charming. We spent a day in the village square enjoying shopping and learning about the history. Several great restaraunts( Michelin star)and cafes to choose from. So much more relaxing and enjoyable. Our favorite place and would gladly return.

A really beautiful historic town/village, with a fantastic sense of having walked back to medieval times in the main square and two main streets.
Plenty of great places to eat (Restaurant Eleanore / Privilege du perigord / Bistrot 2), and a range of high quality arts, crafts, antiques and food shops on offer. Fantastic marklet too.

A beautiful bastide town with plenty to see and with numerous interesting shops and galleries. We really liked The Bastide Restaurant but there are several other excellent restaurants and coffee shops that we have tried in the past and have enjoyed. The weekly market is colourful and really interesting. This is one of our most favourite small towns in France.

Lovely bastide town Built In 1289 by the English.
Cited by le Corbusier as an ideal city design.
Cafes, restaurants, antique shops and easy distance from other bastides. (Sad to see lots of property for sale- will it sell for second homes or to sustain local jobs and people?)
Very safe and charming.

Lovely old village living up to the pictures we see.
Lovely old village living up to the pictures we see. Less ''touristy'' than others we visited. Only one eating option on the night, tapas style, with limited choice but nevertheless still good.
Chantal’s property was lovely and very authentic. We stayed with our 2 boys, so used both bedrooms. Each room had a private bathroom just outside of the bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. Chantal was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast consisted of a hot drink, fresh orange, croissants, bread and butter, jam and yoghurt. We were very well catered for.
We would definitely stay here again if visiting Monpazier
Breakfast was excellent - plenty of options and open until a reasonable time.
The room was a good size for the price. Any issues we had were dealt with swiftly.
The location for Monpazier and the surrounding Dordogne area was excellent.
Overall the selling point is the staff. They are incredibly helpful and will endeavour to fulfil your every need.
This accommodation is a little gem situated in the centre of Monpazier. The owner gave us such a warm welcome and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was well equipped, kettle, tea, coffee and lots of nice treats. Just loved it will definitely return.
This is an absolute gem. The owners were so welcoming. The location is fantastic for spending time in Monpazier, and the Dordogne in general. The gîte is beautifully decorated and has all the comforts you could want. We had a wonderful week.
beautiful brand new (3-weeks opened) hotel right next to the medieval square. modern + traditional design, super-comfy beds and linen, gorgeous little pool area.
