Overnight stop on way home from Southern France. Staff were friendly and helpful, good access to parking. Room was clean and adequate for our stay. Dinner was excellent
Located in Genay, Chambre Privée avec Salle de bain privée - La Mer is a recently renovated accommodation, 19 km from the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon and 19 km from Fourviere Roman Theatre.
Good location for overnight family stay. Basic rooms but clean with air con (although you need to request this is turned on at reception). Nice continental breakfast. Secure gated parking with large spaces and no height restrictions. 2min walk to a supermarket. Local restaurants within a few mins walk, except Sunday - we drove 10mins to Coco Diner.
Cleanliness was excellent. One of the reception staff was superb (Nigerian woman) super helpful and friendly and she speaks perfect English which was helpful.
Onto the restaurant which I believe is a separate business adjoining the hotel. The food is simply divine and the service albeit slowish is very good. Eating here was a very pleasant experience. We didn’t eat breakfast so feel unable to comment. Good hotel and it is fantastic value just a bit from the A46 so location perfect if travelling down to the South.
We stopped just for sleep on our way to Marseille, however didn't plan it. So arrived out of the check-in hours and booked a few hours before arrival, but we were given info how to check-in on our own and didn't have any issues. Parking was almost free. Auchan which was in 2 min from the hotel helped us to sort our needs in groceries and fuel for the next day.
They seem to be trying very hard to rebuild hotel
restaurant was good and good value for money but mozzarella l had on salad was not good very acidic but everything else was good quality and hard to do from shed as there rebuilding restaurant but very nice people would definitely stay again
Location is very convenient for travel to Provence region. Air-conditioned rooms, good bathroom. Coffee and tea-making facilities, Aldi supermarket opposite of hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.
