Really liked the old square next to Les Halles, the vibrant covered market - a riot of colour, smells and tastes. We also enjoyed the Porcelain Museum a short walk from there which is very comprehensive.

Nice place with compact centre and nice square with bars and restaurants. Terrible transport from the airport, only a couple of buses per day none timed with flights and stop no where near airport. No taxis there, at least Uber worked but waited a while and wasn't cheap!

Located in central France but not near an auto route.
Located in central France but not near an auto route. Numerous museums and a large cathedral. Several churches that are worth visiting especially the chapel in the butchers quarter. Also several museums of interest. However The Resistance Museum is a bit of a misnoma. It's really about the effect of the Second World War on Limoges, with only minor references to the activities of the resistance in the area. The impression is given that it is a museum of French Resistance organizations in France. The only restaurant open on a Sunday evening that we found was in the station which was near the Kyriad anyway. Food was good and reasonably priced. The other that we ate at was the Jordanien on Saturday evening, again good value for money but closed on Sundays.

The city is a bit' run-down' and seems to be suffering from an influx of immigrants but the notable buildings (cathedral and railway station) are located in attractive historic quarters. The newly expanded porcelain museum is excellent.

Lovely old traditional French town with impressive cathedral and old butchers' quarter. We were there on a Sunday so it was quite quiet and everything was closed so can't comment on how lively it is generally.

Limoges is a very interesting city with an intriguing mix of very old buildings amongst the newer ones.
There are a wealth of shops to visit and some beautiful churches to explore.
There are lots of great bars and restaurants too with a real mix of cuisines on offer.
I would, however, advise that solo female travellers stay in busier areas and don't wander too far from main paths. I found myself in what could have been a dangerous situation with a young man but luckily was able to get help from a woman who happened to be in the right place at the right time. The French lessons most certainly paid off.
Extremely clean, with the room being left in a pefect state every day and not a speck of anything anywhere. There was a great view from our room on the third floor. The hotel was in a perfect location, nearly equally distant from anywhere you might go in the city, making it very easy to get go anywhere to eat or drink, to get to the airport or to get a train. Staff were very helpful, helping out with anything we needed, offering their help and always greeting us with a smile.
I liked the hotel and staff very much. Everything was good.
However, I pre booked a taxi to the airport—it cost €52 for a 15 minute taxi ride. I tried to complain and at first refused to pay the taxi man, but he was screaming at me. I will report the hotel if something isn’t done about the scam. I will be making a formal complaint to the local authorities. There is something wrong when a short taxi ride is more than the price of the hotel, breakfast and the night snack!
We have stayed here many times and find it perfectly adequate for an overnight stop on our journey through France to get to the Uk. The room is always clean and a nice size bed. This time the receptionist asked if we would like a downstairs room as we had a dog with us. This was the first time we have ever been asked and we were very pleased as it was so much easier
Receptionist was lovely. Hotel is very basic and rooms are small and could do with updating a bit. Decent size car park and lots of restaurants, etc nearby. Close to Limoges centre which is worth a walk round. Nice little town.
