The apartment was well situated in the site. Parking was very close indeed and the beach, restaurants and shops were within a very short walk. The apartment has been upgraded since last year and it was very well appointed and equipped.

Leucate beach is simply wonderful. For walking along or sunbathing on - if its not too windy.
As our apartments facilities were basic, we ate out each lunchtime and nightime.
There is usually one restaurant open in Leucate Plage or the village but just be mindful that the close promptly in June.
We found wonderful pizzas at Pizza Chez Jordan, in the Centre Commevial at Carrfour in Leucate Village. You can either do takeway or as we did eat in (well outside) with a glass of wine and a beer. Great value for money too!

Leucate has different areas, the village location where we stayed had the history, lovely bakery and a variety of restaurants.
A visit to Port Leucate gave you a beach area, promenade walk and then restaurants and shops to visit. The beach was sandt, you would need to bring your own towels, sun shades etc as only one bar are with seating you coud pay for. Lots of familes on the beach when we visited and in the sea, but as it was so bigit didn't feel packed.
The lighthouse is also worth a visit, but parking can be tricky. Great view looking back down the length of Leucate.

This was a last minute decision when our accommodation in Narbonne fell though, and turned out to be an excellent and very relaxing choice. The apartment was basic but comfortable. The hotel was quiet midweek during sunny weather, so we were able to enjoy pretty much a private pool. The location was excellent for us to hire bikes and explore the charms of the Leucate lagoon. All in all a bit of a disaster turned into a great part of our holiday
Visited La maison bleu as a group of 3 friends and we were really satisfied. The beach apartment rental is as described in the photos and description - the location is even more impressive. It was suitable for a wonderful 2 day stay in Leucate Plage.
