Housed in a historical building, this hotel is ideally located in the heart of Mont Saint-Michel. The classic-style rooms overlook the bay, the abbey or the medieval city.

Spacious clean room. Perfect location with the door opening right at the fortress wall. The opportunity to walk around almost empty beautiful town in the evening and early in the morning when all tourists are out of town (except for those staying in hotels of Mont Saint-Michel). Great hotel staff.
At the foot of the abbey, the Mouton Blanc Hotel, welcomes you in its historic 14th century location. Le Mouton Blanc provides comfortable rooms with a simple yet cosy decoration.

The location is the reason that you would stay here. when all of the tourist have hopped back onto there coaches, you have the entire mount to your self and it is magical. the room is very clean and well equiped. although please bear in mind that this is an old building with thin walls and windows. you will need ear plugs for a good night sleep from the noise of the street and the hallway. the food was amazing, we went for the breakfast and dinner package and it did not dissapoint. breakfast was continental with some cooked bacon and eggs. dinner was a choice from the resturants menu and we did not have a single bad meal and all staff were friendly.
Hotel Vert offers pastel-coloured rooms with a private bathroom, TV and free Wi-Fi access. It is located 2 km from the Mont Saint-Michel tidal island on the Normandy Coast.
Hotel Gabriel is located 1.6 Km from Mont Saint-Michel. It offers free Wi-Fi access and en suite rooms just a 25-minute walk from the walls of the old city.

If you like history, architecture, culture or admiring human achievements through the ages, Mont-Saint-Michel is definitely worth the visit, so unique and inspiring. To make the most of your trip, plan on staying overnight when there are so few people and you can truly experience this incredible place.

A very peculiar place to visit.
A very peculiar place to visit. Is a very small village built on top of a steep hill of the coast in Normandy. It looks like you went back in time if you ignore the electric cables running along the facades of the buildings. The visit to the Abbey is "mandatory", don't miss it! If possible stay for the night because at night all other tourists are gone and the place is almost deserted. Amazing!

Lovely and whimsical place to visit, butterflies as you see it in the horizon and as you get closer is even more impressive. Feels like a real life fairytale. Stayed the night and woke up early enough to the see the sunrise, unsure if the island wasn't full because it's autumn/winter but early hours of the day were so peaceful - just enjoying the seaguls and the scenery. Definitely recommend exploring at night after a glass of wine and dining at the mere poulard. Not the most accessible place to visit, as there are steps all around. The tour around the abbey is a must, only 13 euros and its essencial to understanding the place.

We elected to stay on the island, arriving in the afternoon and leaving the next morning. that was a great decision, as though it was off seasons, the day crowds were definitely there.
one option I did not realize was to stay in much nicer hotels just outside the causeway to Mont St Michel, on the tram stop. one could then catch the tram over and back whenever it was running, or walk over the causeway...about a kilometer or so. Its difficult to tell from the description that this option is nearly as flexible as atually being on site, and with better facilities.

We avoided crowds by arriving at Mont Saint-Michel in the late afternoon, but many of the restaurants had closed by the time we wandered back down the main road after exploring the upper parts. Luckily we found a restaurant and had a great dinner, but we probably should have headed back down a bit sooner.

Exceptionally well preserved medieval Abbey.
Exceptionally well preserved medieval Abbey. Apart from visiting during day time to visit the Abbey I recommend visiting the area at night to enjoy a quiet walk in the narrow streets without any tourists around. When visiting the Abbey I recommend the guided tablet tour. Getting there is a long drive from Paris but well worth it in my opinion.

If you are looking for the best hotel nearby the Mont-Saint-Michel - that's it. The view was amazing, the stop of the shuttle bus to the Mont-Saint-Michel is in front of the hotel doors. The breakfast was good, and the dinner was perfect! Many thanks to the hotel staff for the help with parking and with the luggage. BTW, be aware, you'll need a special code from the hotel to get into the hotel's zone by car (or motorcycle).
The staff were friendly, accomodating and just warm in all of our interactions on every occasion. The hotel accomodation is really clean and well maintained, its close to the entrance of the island. We stayed just one night but the team helped get us a reservation at a good restaurant on the island and helped organise the best times for touring the abbey etc. Highly recommended and the cribs for a baby are excellent!
The room was just off the main "street" minutes from the Abbey. It was great to stay over on the island as everyone leaves at the end of the day and you have the place to yourselves.
All I would say as a negative was the intructions weren't brilliant from the reception of the other hotel we had to use and we were wandering about for a bit with our luggage. Breakfast was nice and the room was lovely
