Langres has history, some of which has been sorely neglected. It is the birthplace of Diderot. Langres is on the case. I think it has huge potential. I hope it is can build on it's past as a significant place of learning and Dierot's legacy, without comprising it's local character and facility.
Bon Chance!

We only stayed in Langres as a stop over en route to the south of France, but found that it is a wonderful city with a long history, encircled by old city walls, and with many interesting landmarks. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the city walls and though the old streets.

Arrived with only a little time before it became un staffed hotel for the night. Rushed in our booking & also booked breakfast. Then realised it was to late for us to eat as we had to leave early in the am to catch Le Shuttle. Cancelled it but couldn't have tge £ directly refunded on our card & had to fill in some paperwork. Over 6 weeks ago & we still haven't received this refund. Please can booking.com chase this up & sort. Thank you.

This is a small busy walled town one of the finest you will ever see The ramparts can be fully walked and kept in excellent condition. A superb cathedral and several museums are worth a visit and punch above their weight for the size of town. Not over touristy but appreciated by those who care to visit.

Without much time we managed a look around the cathedral which was very interesting and prayerful. The rest of the town had many other attractions to explore which we shall put to one side awaiting a return visit.

We arrived in the dark & left before daylight, so not best placed to review the town, apart from an excellent local bar/restaurant that was able to accomodate 11 at very short notice for a very good supper!

A very comfortable and spacious apartment located in a beautiful old building. The furnishings and decor are top quality with quirky little touches here and there. We only stayed one night but this place would be ideal for a week or more. The location in very quiet but only a 5 minute walk to the town centre. Langres itself is lovely.
Traditional hotel located in the centre of the fortified town of Langres. Perfect for walking to a number of restauarants and bars. Street access is a bit tight particularly if you have a large 4x4, but they do provide valet parking (Think you need to prebook)
This is a charming hotel with a very large and convenient car park in an interesting small town and a great stopover option. The restaurant adjacent is a very convenient addition.
Convenient, when travelling across France. Beautiful medival town to boot. Free parking , cheap price, food was good and reasonable price. Friendly staff.
