A aimé · Benoit has renovated the house with skill and great taste (while retaining the character) it's absolutely beautiful. He is a great host, nothing is too much trouble and he even gave me flowers for my birthday. Breakfast was good and copious and there is an area to make hot drinks or help yourself to cold drinks from the fridge. It's ideally situated in a very calm street but only 5 minutes walk from the port at Pouliguen where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The garden is delightful, very mediterranean with a great swimming pool. Plenty of shaded areas, sunbeds, seating, etc. Thanks Benoit, we'll be back!!

La Baule was a great place to visit!
La Baule was a great place to visit! We went at a great time where it was sunny and the water temperature was right enough to swim! There are two Parks in La Baule to visit - Parc des Dryades and the Tropicarium Bonsai.
We went to two ice cream shops that were fun. One was Amorino; they can make flower shaped ice creams and have interesting flavours. The other one was La Fraiserie; they had big ice creams so none of the ice cream was melting in to our hands and had really good hazelnut ice cream. I would recommend that!
You can rent bicycles at your local bicycle stores like La Baule Locations Velo. Scooters are available as well. Walking around is pretty easy if you would like to walk around the beach/pier.
I would avoid going to the beach at night. There are a lot of children that like troubles. It's not dangerous however you do not want to have your night ruined by drunk teenagers, peeing on the beach.
Things I would recommend is to do the water-sports activity with Glass Evolution or Jet Atlantic Evasion. I would also recommend equestrian activities on the beach or around the forest with Manege des Platenes. I definitely recommend getting a rain coat just in case it rains all of a sudden in La Baule.
Great place to see the Atlantic Ocean!

La Baule has everything you need for a good break away, restaurants, café's, a long beautiful beach, shops, markets; It is very dog friendly, we eat out in lots of places and always took our Golden Retriever dog without any problems. We find it fascinating to walk round the back streets just looking at all the wonderful properties, there are some amazing houses and gardens. We were there for a week and left the car in the garage of the apartment from the first day we got there until we went home, it was easy to walk to everything we wanted to go to.

Beautiful little studio. I was alone, but perfect for a couple or even a family with 2 kids. Very clean, very quiet and had everything I needed. The little garden was lovely! The location is excellent. 800m to the beach, but if you want to go to the main part of LA baule it's about 2.5km but a pleasant walk along the beach.
It is a good hotel with nice facilities. The pool area was good with possibilities to have a drink. The room had a good size for 3 people. The breakfast was fine as well. Nice air conditioning.
A walk to city centre/beach takes about 20 min.
The location. We were near to our friends and just a short stroll away from the Le Pouliguen village and La Baule centre. Perfect.
Not about the property per se but one evening we met a family of hedgehogs in the hotel garden!
Beautiful and centrally located small privately run hotel with only a few rooms. Pleasant atmosphere. Nice garden, good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful landlady. We would come back immediately.
