It is a good starting point, if you like to go to the restaurants in district 13 / china town. The area is cheaper than the center of paris, but needs to travel longer by Metro.
There are several restaurants and a grocery store around. Ivry-sur-Seine seens not very touristic.

Terrible location if you want to tourist travel to and from Paris daily * is 20 min easy walk to a Zone 2 train RER (special ticket for this train) with the regular T1+ ticket you need to walk further to get to Zone 1 (walk past the RER additional 7 mins for Zone 1 metro). This walk along the train line toward the RER has people living in their cars so this side of the trainline looks worse than the other side that looks a more well off area.

Dreadful hotel in a non tourist part of the city, broken facilities, smoke smelling room with stained carpets. Broken lift and dirty stairwell. A ten minute walk to the closest train station and a 40 minute trip to the city, no metro close by, no local restaurants for tourists, no bars for non locals, avoid this hotel at all costs. We paid for 2 nights but left after one could not wait to get out of this place. Paris is a beautiful city however Ivry sur Seine is not for tourists.

Good clean place. No comfort but everything was there. Good bed, huge pillows that forces your feet out of bed even if you are just 180 cm like me. To far from Metro to have good Paris access. Neighborhood left, like a ghetto with wee smokers right side of. Staff at reception rude giving instructions like a warden in a juvenile jail. The other a super friendly helpful Togolese gentleman and the third a friendly smiling and greeting girl who never leaves her phone when greeting or giving out dustbin bags or T-roll. Great baker next door for fresh croissants. Big minus for foreign visitors 50+ TV stations only in French, which is ok for me but not for my wife and daughter. All together reasons we will not book there again.

No shampoo, the floor was cold.
The area is not to safe, at the middle of the night a guy was looking at our apartment windows for an hour or so and after we turned off the lights he came to our door trying to get in. It was very scary considering that we were two girls. Even now I’m still scared because of this

The hotel is well located restaurants, shops and metro is at walking distance. The size of the room is just enough with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.
The breakfast is a treat. The don’t have a restaurant but a place where you can have your tea, lunch or dinner.
Great budget hotel on the outskirts of Paris. There's a lot of restaurants and shops about 400m to the left of the hotel and good transport links by bus and tram to Paris City Centre.
