Loved the quiet, the views, the delicious dinner and good breakfast. Was on a nice residential street great for walks down to the river. Terrific parking, nice pool. Extremely clean, comfortable bed and bedding. Great air conditioner. Ample pillows, and a blanket rather than polyester duvet. I prefer a blanket so was happy about that.

The Logos Hotel du Chene with the typical red shutters of the French Basque area, was located in the lovely little village of Itxassou, France in the beautiful Pyrenees foothills, next to a lovely Basque church and cemetery. There was a Basque festival going on in the area. The staff was wonderful and they served fantastic Basque food for dinner and a very good included buffet breakfast. The bedroom was very small but had the essentials with a comfortable bed, bathroom and closet. The views from the window of the mountains was great. We really liked the place even with the small bedroom.

Very friendly and most helpful staff, though it did help that several of us spoke French. Modern rooms with everything we needed. We appreciated the elevator. The fact that the restaurant was closed while we were there was probably a good thing, as it was very quiet in the rooms directly above the otherwise lively terrace.

Phillipe was wonderful! I had sent an email saying I was coming to see my fathers family village and I had some info on the family house. He sent me on a little scavenger hunt, but had done all of the work for me! he found the street that it was on, some of the history and when we got back and told him we had found it, he was thrilled! the warmest host you could ever ask for💕. He runs a wonderful property and the area is just breathtaking!💕👍

A lovely little village that came to life during the night market. so many places are accessible nearby including excellent whitewater rafting, a great lake with a beach and an easy drive to Biarritz and St Jean de Luz.

Lovely small town, spread out over the side of a series of mountains. Very Basque/French. Plenty of opportunity to have either a short stroll or some serious walking. The views of the mountains are excellent and definitely an out door activity place to stay.
Very historic church opposite Hotel Du Chen, listen out for the bells!!

The location is very quiet, but a little hard to find (our GPS didn't recognize the exact address); the hotel is very cute and had we had time, we would have liked to try the restaurant, which seemed lovely and had a live jazz band playing that evening. The breakfast was good.
