The kitchen was well equiped and clean. We did not meet the owner until we were leaving the next morning. She was gracious as we think she is new to Booking vs Air b&b. We had read that breakfast was good; but, since there was a misunderstanding she did not know, or ask whether we wanted breakfast. We did! She was apologentic. We had to go elsewhere to get something for breakfast.

The communication (one phone call and text messages) with the host was very good and she was very nice.
My friend and I rented this property for five nights in January - one, if not the coldest month of the year in Medoc. There was frost at night but the gite was pleasantly warm and though there was not a radiator in every room it was well insulated and very well appointed. Great value for money and within walking distance of the centre of Hourtin, a large supermarket plus usual services.
Spacious, great kitchen and cooking utensils, comfortable beds, WiFi good, nice and cool in hot weather. Lovely garden and shaded dinning area with barbecue. Great welcome from the owners. Close to amenities, can walk or cycle to lake easily. Enjoyed market in Hourtin and local restaurant.

house is well equipped, and there was lounge zone arranged in terrace. very nice for vacation stay. very close to the lake, close to ocean beach. there is good laundry in Hourtin town.
