We liked everything about this apartment. Laura and Benoit are both super nice. They don't speak any English but we managed. House is a little out of the way but it was perfect for us since it was on our way around the country. It's in a beautiful, peaceful place, surrounded by nature, on the outskirts of small town. The apartment is on the ground floor and parking is right next to it, which is very convenient. Laura and Benoit leave upstairs with their family, so if you need anything they are just a step away. Apartment is very large, truly perfectly equipped kitchen, great bed and large bathroom. There are stores and restaurants in town if you need anything. Highly recommend.
It was totally unacceptable that a hotel and restaurant booked weeks in advance of our proposed arrival date sent a message to say that the restaurant would not be open and also that there would be no hotel reception one day after the free cancellation date had passed. We believe this at best was bad professional practice or at worst fraudulent by ensuring that fees were taken.
We chose another hotel and did not stay
Good restaurant, even very good. Personal service (with the exeption a bit too personal upon arrival, see below). Good breakfast. I was attending a course and other members who stayed at other hotels were not too satisfied. I think this is the place to stay in Gourdon.

The hotel is very well situated and well run. The room was very clean and tidy, though the table/desk was a bit small. Bathroom excellent and spacious.
