Quiet village. Great if you love Golf. Otherwise there is not much to do or see. We went there for Golf but once that was done we spent our time going to other towns. Too quiet wouldn’t go there again .

I had 4 days at the end of my long vacation to choose a new place close to Geneva airport to stay before heading home. There were a few options (Thonon, Gex, Lausanne) but I chose Evian for size (not to big) and proximity to Lake and Mountains. Lake Geneva is beautiful, especially on a sunny day and a great place to walk. There’s not a lot of shopping, so you wouldn’t come here to do that but there are enough restaurants and cafe’s for a short stay. There is also the Casino, Evian Spa and aquatic complex for people who are interested in those things. If you have a car it’s only 30mins to Abondance and 45 minutes to Morzine which are both cute mountain villages where you can do walks in the summer and skiing in the winter. This is also the home of Evian water so a little history to learn and explore. There is great local food products and wine. You can also take the ferry across the Lake to Lausanne to visit the Olympic Museum or visit the town itself. If you are heading to Geneva you should drop into the small historic town of Yvoire for a few hours and maybe have lunch at one of the several restaurants.

Lovely lakeside walks and good access to pleasant places like Lausanne (by ferry - worth the ride as beautiful views) and Yvoire. Shopping (including supermarkets) a bit limited in Evian itself and not a great range of affordable restaurants. But good access to hypermarkets etc. by car. Skiing nearby at Thollon - with some of the most amazing views over Lake Geneva from the pistes.

We were here for just a day, so I cannot make thorough analysis of the place.
Great walk alongside the lake. Small city center with few good restaurants. (You have to reserve for the good ones at least few days in advance) I recommend to visit the Cachat spring and the spring building (it's currently under restoration to make it even more beautiful)

I liked that the little town centre was safe to move around even in the wee hours of the morning where i had to walk 20 minutes back to my hotel after leaving the casino.
Had a good time walking and looking around the little quaint shops in Evian town centre and the water source of Evian is walking distance from the town centre and Hotel Royal Evian.
Loved the Chinese Restaurant called Chinatown Chinese Restaurant, food was great! If you are looking for a good spread of Western food head down to Le Pub which is located just next to the Casino itself.
Taking the boat across to Lausanne, Switzerland was a breeze which cost 21 euros?

Absolutely fantastic hotel. From the moment we entered the lobby, we had a lovely warm welcome.
Check-in was easy and straightforward. I was in the swimming pool within 20 minutes of arrival, and was even provided with a pool towel free of charge.
Secure parking was free and so good seeing that we were on a motorbike. Breakfast was plentiful and so fresh. Highly recommend and if we are ever travelling this way again we would certainly stay again. 10/10.
We had a two night stay here and it was perfect. The staff were always helpful and thoughtful; we were able to eat breakfast outside; the room was clean and tidy. The location of the hotel is perfect too, right on the lake. Although it can be a little noisy from the road it’s worth asking for a lake view room. A special thank you to the hotel for arranging locked secure parking for my motorbike when I just asked for advice on the best place to park.
the surroundings is very nice, with the horse farms, all the greenery and small gardens. The hotel really has a lot of charm although it's old and not really recently renovated. The staff was very friendly and nice...
