Quick, efficient, friendly check-in and out. Was able to borrow a kettle on request. Nice view out the back of the hotel, if possible I'd recommend asking for a first floor room at the back. Motel style accommodation, with door and window directly onto the path outside. Walls not too thick but neighbours quiet. AC appreciated, if not the most efficient. Bed fine, socket above night stand. A few signs of wear here and there but overall well-maintained and clean. TV has a decent selection of channels, standard FR cable and you can select language for channels that offer it. Wifi signal strength and speed good. One fast-food and 3 wok/meat/american restaurants/diners within walking distance.
The Mercure Epinal Centre is located next to the Moselle River, a 5-minute walk from the centre of Epinal and a 10-minute walk from the TGV Train Station.

Épinal is located in the beautiful area of the Vosges. It is also on the connecting road between Belgium and Switzerland, further south. Therefore, it is excellent for a stopover during a trip by car between both countries.

Epinal is a lovely small French town.
Epinal is a lovely small French town. We were driving through and stopped for a weekend. There are lovely places to visit nearby as well, like the Thermal baths of Vittel/Contrexeville with their beautiful park, Nancy with the stunning Place Stanislas, Mirecourt the town of the Violin......

The hotel is new, modern and very clean. Design features everywhere, and plenty of parking space. The staff were nice and helpful.
There is a nice restaurant nearby for dinner, if one doesn't have time or mood to drive to the city centre. Breakfast was good, with a lot of choice.
Not really a four star hotel. More 1980s fixtures and fittings without the things expected from a modern hotel, eg good quality shower, accessible electrical points in bedroom, enough space to lay out cloths and travel items.
Superb little hotel, fabulous facilities, brilliant and extensive breakfast, perfectly town centre and really nice staff. One of the best, most practical hotels ever - and nicely missing unnecessary luxuries.
We stopped on a biking trip in Epinal. City center just 5 min walk away. Spacious apartment with everything you need. Having a washing machine was very handy.
