Auberge De Kerveoc'h, hotel in Douarnenez

The Auberge de Kerveoc’h, an old farmhouse set in a private park, is located in the tranquil Breton countryside a 5-minute drive from Douarnenez.

Friendly staff lent us their own kitchen utensils to help us make a dinner (restaurant was closed). The nearby beach is very pleasant and had an open food stall very late in the evening.

Ty Mad, hotel in Douarnenez

The Ty Mad hotel is located behind the Saint Jean Chapel on the Douarnenez Bay in Brittany. It offers free WiFi. Free limited parking is available on site and public parking can be found in the area.

It’s a garten paradise within a neighborhood of tightly packed houses & streets. The house smells sooo good! (The wood floor oil?) The interior design is high end, yet cozy. The dinner was creative and well-presented. And the breakfast was a great start!!

Quiet little town with a port.

Quiet little town with a port. Easy to find nice places to eat. Not too touristic during winter. Nice spa thalasso around. Not for anyone who seeks out party places. There is also a reasonably priced Moroccan eatery Le Sable d’Or that serves authentic cous cous and home made baklava! There is also a great seafood restaurant, Le Restaurant La Regate, at Hotel Les Sable Blancs.

Quiet and peaceful break away for two; spa facilities very good; pleasant restaurant with sea views to eat in; more than enough good ,tasty, nourishing food for breakfast. Lovely walks from the hotel along the coastal path; a lovely setting for the hotel.

We went in winter and the weather was awful but still alot to see, and if you love wild weather and walks along the coast its amazing. The town itself is lovely, some good restuarants and great small shops.

Once a very rich city (merci la Sardine!), Douarnenez is struggling to stay on the map of tourists' destinations. The ports are great places to visit, and the welcoming attitude of the people is a great asset. I am an old man who knew the region more than 60 years ago, we are not a young couple and the month of November is not the best period to visit: nevertheless I found the atmosphere even better than in my young age.

Lovely town with busy ports (plural) and well located for exploring in all directions: west towards Pointe du Raz and (even better) Pointe du Van, north to the Crozon peninsular and south to Pays Bigouden. Lots of good creperies, and fine restaurants around the port in Treboul.

There are quiet little beaches just out of town as well as the coastal path which offers a range of views across the bay. The boat museum was well worth a visit also a walk up into the town centre to the market and local shops. Staff in all the restaurants were friendly and helpful, even letting us try out our school French!

A very chilled place. The staff almost looks out of place but it is in fact a good thing. Helpful, kind and relaxed. There was a 'stage de musique' from Paris. Nice kids who made the time in the pool very friendly and the hotel community friendly. The shower was great and the room clean enough. I didn't have any meals in the restaurant so I won't be able to comment on this.

The room was clean and spacious, but the Wi-Fi was terrible. We were on the corner of the hotel so that might have been the reason why.
