I only arrived in Dax at 11 PM on a Tuesday and was happy to find a bar open to grab a beer. Just staying for the night, but walked the old city the following day to get a glimpse. I could have stayed in this lovely little city for a day with its historical vibe. Lots of spa and wellness facilities, if you're into that.

Try the local department store with amazing metalwork baulastrade and atrium .... with small Carrefour speciality food section inside like a top of food range at M and S ideal for sourcing a picnic to sit by the banks of the river
We were on a one night stay with our fox terrier. We booked a comfort double and it was huge and the bed and pillows really comfortable. Bathroom was spacious with really soft towels and great shower ! Very central location for wandering out if you needed to.

Small but comfortable and bright studio with an excellent location for the city centre. Very quiet at night. The parking space is very useful, as it's hard to park without paying in the centre of Dax.
