Without any doubt, the swimming pool was the strongest point for the hotel. Also the breakfast was quite good. Rooms are average (a bit more 2** than 3*** in some aspects) spacious, but old.

We were in Cambrai to watch a sports event and stayed 2 nights. We were very lucky to see the Olympic Torch relay at the same time. The city is clean, people are friendly and most places had someone who could speak English to assist us.
I would probably not go to Cambrai just for the sake of it, but i loved being there for the event and the hockey.

Plenty of places to visit to fill a whole day sightseeing. A tour of the Citadel underground tunnels recommended. Good selection of restaurants and bars available. Lani Thai and Le Chatleureux (cat cafe) good for vegetarians.

If you are interested in WW1 history then Cambrai makes a good base. We had no such interest and I didn't see anything in Cambrai that would make me want to spend more than a night there. If you have crossed from Dover to Calais and plan to drive through the Alsace then an overnight stop in Cambrai will break up your journey nicely.

I selected Cambrai as a stop over to and from a longer stay near Doubs East France.
I have used Cambrai as a stop over a few times the town square is pleasant with plenty of choice for bars and restaurants.
If you like to do a bit of exploring and a nice evening walk there is a canal that leads to a small circular wood walk: Le Bois Chenu: Urban Ecological Park.
The canal is ideal for those who also like an evening run as the ground is firm and flat.

The room. was lovely, large beautifully furnished and decorated with a large stylish shower room and a separate toilet. French doors onto the garden. I was able to bring my dog and her bed directly into the room avoiding the cat. It would have suited someone with a disability and a wheelchair without in any way feeling disabled. the dinner was delicious the service was perfect. I wish I could find more hotels like this.
It was a nice clean hotel with easy access to the motorway, the staff were friendly and helpful and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable if basic but good value for money. The breakfast was the standard selection, good choice and filling.
The rooms are very Clean, the hotel staff are very kind and the breakfast super tasty. The breakfast offers a very large selection. Anil is always very helpful and communicative with his guests.
Good location and easy to park which was free at the weekend. Hotel restaurant looked very nice but we had eaten out already. Amusing machine to cook soft boiled eggs for breakfast
