Great location in the heart of the 'Plus Beau Village' of Beynac on the banks of the Dordogne. Extremely helpful host, Natalie, provided advice on parking and the best places to visit. Boat trip on the Dordogne and a visit to Beynac castle proved really worthwhile.

One bedroom apartment was very spacious, nice decor and kitchen was well set up. Bed very comfortable, good shower and second toilet. There was a beautiful glass conservatory where we could sit out of the cool weather. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel location is a short walking distance to the old town, tourist attractions, and restaurants/shops.
We stayed in the TORNAÂD room for three nights. The room was clean with a big window, which opened up and faced the back of the building that provided us a few peaceful night's sleep. The bed was comfortable enough.
The open shelvings, part of the wardrobe, provide a good spot to place some items of clothing/toiletries on it.
The updated bathroom/shower had ample room and a big wash basin.
If you plan on catching a train, as my husband and I did and ended up walking to the hotel, I suggest pre-book a taxi in advance or contacting the hotel for advice.
The front desk/ foyer is very welcoming. All staff were very helpful, friendly and always with a smile.
Located in the hills, 850 metres from the centre of Sarlat in the Dordogne region, Hôtel Bon Encontre features an infinity heated swimming pool overlooking the Sarladaise Valley.

Owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. We appreciated that they were happy to talk in English to us as our French isn't good. The place was perfect.

Apart from Beynac-et-Cazenac is so beautiful and interesting place to stay there are lots of other things to do and see, such as visiting castles, hiking, taking a boat on a river, canoeing and just visiting other nice little towns and villages with an excellent views! You can easily stay there 2 weeks and it’s still may not be enough to visit all spectacular places around.

We visited Beynac in the middle of the summer holidays, it was as if hell had broken loose, so many people, so many cars, buses and so on. Besides that it is a wonderful destination, next time we will try to avoid the 'high season'.

It was a beautiful small town to relax in and there were also some lovely attractions. The Beynac Castle was the highlight and many chateaux are in the area. There were enough small shops and restaurants to visit and all in all it was a lovely stay. We were there for 3 nights but could have spent longer in the area.

Beynac is a nice base for exploring the majestic Dordogne region. La-Roque-Gageac, Castelnaud, Domme, and Sarlat are all within 10 km or so, and Beynac itself is a lovely riverside village.
You can't go wrong just about anywhere in the Dordogne, but you can definitely go *right* in Beynac.

It's a great period property, located very centrally in Beynac-et-Cazenac. Plenty of room, and it has a large garden with fantastic views over the village and the river. There is an open kitchen, and a small seating area with sofas and tv - we did not use those though as there is plenty to see in the county surrounding Beynac. A particular highlight were the caves (grottes) in Lacaves.
It is fairly easily accessed from souillac airport, traffic in September was pretty relaxed. Driving around and finding our way was easy.
This is the perfect stay if you are looking for some quite days to rest and connect with the nature. The hotel is a rustic house located in the middle of a beautiful field, the rooms are very comfortable, the stuff is really nice and the breakfast is also really good. Recommend it 100% and would love to come back at some point.
This was a beautiful place to stay with wonderful views over the valley and Beynac itself. The location was perfect with nearby hotel allocated parking which was convenient. Melissa was extremely helpful and this was a special place to relax.
