Great location in the city center. Room was not on the street side so it was very quiet apart from doors opening and closing in hallway but people in hotel were respectful so it wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was really good too with fresh products. The hotel is extremely clean!!

We stayed Hostel 20, which is a flat 10 minute walk across the bridge to the city center. In the city center, its very similar to other French towns, everyone out having something to eat or drink at all hours of the day. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Taxi Cab app is what we used if we needed transportation and Uber did not work for us.
Places we enjoyed:
Les Halles de Bayonne
Iberico and co
BASA - reservation
Piccole Cose- reservation

Bayonne is a great little town.
Bayonne is a great little town. It’s divided by two rivers, giving lots of space to relax or enjoy a drink. The old town is interesting and in good condition. There are many dining options and there are cafes everywhere. If you are looking for a place that Is comfortable, has an interesting Basque flavor and is not overrun by English speaking tourists, Barring is for you.

Bayonne is a beautiful little town, absolutely adorable.
Bayonne is a beautiful little town, absolutely adorable. There are loads of nice restaurants and the people are very friendly. There are also a lot of nice little shops, and the market Saturday morning is lovely. You can walk everywhere, but there are also little buses you can ride for free. The rivers in the center are impressive and beautiful, and you can stay looking at the water for hours, especially when the tide water comes up and goes down.
We also took a lunch and afternoon trip to Guéthary (that a server at a bar recommended us), a tiny little town by the sea. Beautiful and really nice food.

Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque.
Bayonne (Baiona) is a lovely town, very Basque. Great restaurants, and handy for the road south into Spain. BUT: parking is an issue. If you are staying in the centre, the station car park costs upwards of €14. If you like a couple of glasses of wine with dinner... otherwise it's a taxi at similar cost.

Very beautiful, authentic and preserved medieval town in the Basque Country of France. The downtown area is small and bisected by a river, it doesn't get much prettier than that. The food scene is fantastic, with plenty of Basque and French options - I'd recommend Les Tontons Flingueurs, and PATXAMAMA. Also, try the chocolates there, they are amazing! (L'Atelier du Chocolat, Chocolaterie Puyodebat). The ritzy beaches and charming old town of Biarritz are just a 15-minute drive away.

Stayed at this hotel on two occasions on my journey from Spain to UK via France. Good service and friendly staff. Room very comfortable and large. Good breakfast. My evening meal was a little difficult in translation, my 1st course was in a jar, my 2nd in a basket, saved by the dessert, good old fruit salad with cream and ice cream
We enjoyed this pet-friendly hotel. The bed was comfortable, the sheets are eco-friendly, and it felt like who designed the place cared about the little things. The breakfast was quite good. The view from the 9th floor (co-working space / breakfast room) is amazing and improves the whole experience!
Hotel well located across the bridge from the old town and right next to the train station and parking.
Spacious quiet room with a view, plenty of storage space, comfortable bed and working AC.
Very good breakfast, as usual in an Ibis Styles.
Relaxed atmosphere, coffee and tea available all day.
This is an understated hotel! It is exceptional in every aspect: right next to the train station, so you can drop your luggage off and start discovering this jewel of a town, Bayonne! And the T1 busstop to Biarritz is right in front of the hotel!
The room was very spacious and light. The bathroom was super. The staff were helpful and I also appreciated a car park as parking can be difficult in France. It’s in a great location in the edge of the old town.
