There was no evening meal available but we were able to picnic in the lovely hotel garden. The hotel supplied plates knifes and forks.

The place is very calm and homy. There is a great garden with some small animals that the kids could look at and really enjoyed. It was good location for visiting Cassis and Avignon for a day. Great value for money and kind hosts.

The secure parking was of great benefit. The meal in the restaurant on the first night was very enjoyable, and the facilities in the suite allowed us to prepare and eat a meal in the room on the second night.
We were able to leave the car in the car park and catch a bus nearby, which took us to the town centre in about 20 minutes.

Barbentane appears to be a small town with some local shops and services and small 'old town'. Biger shops are 10 or so minutes drive away. Easy access. Good base for exploring the region in 50 km radius around the Avignon, which includes a good number of Provence's top destinations.
The garden and the hôtel from the outside are very pretty. The rooms have air conditioning which is a must in the summer. The hotel is close to Avignon and to other nice places to visit (st Rémy de Provence, isle sur la sorgue…)
As you can see in the pictures it is small, very small but so well made that it is more comfortable then a hotel room. Great bed, A/C, quiet and dark thanks to the shutter. Friendly owner!
