There is a family that rents a room. I travel all over the world. This is the first time I did not feel comfortable Not having a Private stay, I asked if I could cancel, and they said Not possible. So it left things even more uncomfortable.
When checking in I was told to hold my voice down and not to make noise. I did not feel comfortable using their bathroom where their door opens to their main living room where their child, would have to smell toilet orders.ETC.
I did not use their shower nor did I ask for breakfast. I don't mind staying with a family. not going to pay to be a house guest/friend.

Arrival was a farce. The owner of the home sent me a text in French saying that he would not give access until I paid deposit. I could not pay on booking.com and the site was closed for business. By searching the site I found the manager by luck and he was able to provide access.
It was rude and unnecessary.
