Stayed here out of season, which was a great deal - 52 EUR per night for a decent sized room with a somewhat limited view of Mount Blanc. Clean room with a balcony, just what we needed.
The breakfast that's included should be marketed as a small and simple bread and toppings-breakfast. There is only bread, j, Nutella, butter and salami, as well as some yoghurt, cereal, milk, juice and pre-packaged baguettes. Not what you'd expect from a hotel breakfast, but it gets the job done - at least if they don't run out of baguettes which happened one day during our stay.
The lodge has a bar and restaurant in-house, with great vibes and decent food, and a free pool table, and the bartender doubles as a receptionist.
Info sheets in the room are quite outdated, showing 24/7 breakfast and 10 EUR bike rental available, which is not correct.
It's a short walk to the city center, where they cooperate with a bike rental shop, Bile Chamonix, giving discounts on e-bike-rentals.
All in all a good value stay out of season!

It was a dream come true but turned into a very bad experience because of mismanagement of lost&found
The mountain views were magnificent, the apartment was equipped with nearly everything we could only think of, the heating made it very comfortable and cozy, the station des Grand Montets is really close (walking distance doable with skiing boots) and it's the best station in Chamonix area given you have some experience
