Loved the hotel! Only stayed one night to visit friends in the resort, I was greeted by the hotel assistant (a large cute dog!) then the Hotel Manager (woman) who was lovely and presentable! She showed me to my room and gave me information in terms of food, location etc. The room was a little small for a double bed but the bed was 100% comfy with a spacious bathroom and clean towels. I did not use the sauna however I will be back and taking advantage of the hotel facilities.

This is a ski in/ ski out hotel 2 skiing minutes from the trans arc gondola. The core part of the hotel has comfortable reception area and a spacious restaurant & bar. There is a buffet breakfast & half - board 3 course dinner, with some classic Savoy dishes & other tasty offerings. The rooms or chalets are in linked buildings with connecting corridors. There is a good sauna ( free but must be booked). There is a ski- cat that connects to the nearest bus stop ( free buses to the funicular at Arc 1600) . The cat is free on arrival / departure and for ski hire collection but other trips have a small charge.
The hotel manager , Julie is a great host and warmly welcomes all guests. . She was exceptionally kind and helpful to our family members staying in a nearby apartment.
They were stuck in now and she arranged a break- down truck to rescue them.

Unfortunately our experience was tarnished by our appalling accommodation. Absolutely disgusting. Arc 1950 was good for ski in and ski out but beware apartment 259 in Le source Marie and Mont Blanc Booking. Filthy. No sheets and towels even though they had been arranged and paid for. No accountability. Check in in for not given within 24 hours of arrival. No wifi. Access to one pool, not the one in the pictures. Hamman smelled of urine. Tired and shabby. Poor kitchen. Terrible

Super stylish, yet very comfortable apartment.
Super stylish, yet very comfortable apartment. The hosts obviously endeavour to give their guests the best possible experience. The bathrooms were luxurious and the kitchen extremely well equipped, there was even a Fondue set and Raclette machine. The ski in ski out experience was a luxury and the views indeed breathtaking. Can’t wait to go again next season.

Our apartment was in Arc 2000.
Our apartment was in Arc 2000. There is a regular gondola between the 2, but you have to use a lift or walk up a short steep snowy slope to reach it.
Both Arc 2000 and 1950 are very nice, lots of restaurants. 1950 is rather busy for both skiiers and pedestrians along the same narrow streets. This would put me off booking there.

Picturesque village with great little supermarket which is unsurprisingly expensive. Good shops and variety of ski rentals. The restaurants in the village are, without exception overpriced and poor quality. There are some excellent restaurants on the slopes.

I ski alot. 5-7 weeks a year. I will never go back to Les Arcs 1950 and generally the Les Arcs ski area.
Too busy, too many people on the slopes, Les Arcs 1950 poorly serviced by bad restuarants and bars and you have to queue for everything! (50 minutes for a ski pass on a sunday, 45 mins for ski hire, 45 minutes for the bakery to get bread!)

Lovely apartment with everything we needed for our family skiing week in Les Arcs. The apartment is comfortable and warm, clean and well equipped. Ski in, ski out, with a ski locker at the front, so very convenient to get out onto the slopes. The apartment building has a small swimming pool and sauna that is free to use. Arc 1950 village is really nice too, it's the prettiest of the Arc villages, with a nice bakery, small supermarket and some bars and restaurants, and easy access to the ski slopes. I would recommend.
Location is superb, ski from the door, car park two floors below. Being a corner apartment it has double aspect and a large balcony. We have stayed in Arc 1950 eleven times over the last 20 years and this is a lovely little apartment. It is exactly as it looks in the pictures, no surprises. The sofa bed is a proper sprung one and very comfortable. The only thing missing in the kitchen is an oven but there is a microwave with a grill. Excellent communication from owner Arnaud. Nice big ski locker.
