Lini & Robert are excellent hosts and are quick to consider their guests as part of their family. Their accommodations are nicely appointed for travellers. We were able to utilize their two kayaks and enjoy a paddle on the quiet river/lagoon. I enjoy walking each morning and their location affords gentle walks along quiet roads. It is also only about a 20 minute walk to a wonderful beach [the warm ocean there has a sandy bottom for safe and refreshing swimming]. To get to the beach you pass by shops and restaurants where it is easy to find breakfast items and fruit etc. We were also able to connect with a local taxi driver and it was easy and inexpensive to call him and have him pick us up at the property and take us to the main road shops or back to the property if we were too tired to make the return walk. We had a quiet and simple holiday there and we are grateful to Lini and Robert for hosting us.

Dive at Fiji's Shark Reef Marine Reserve! Though expensive, it's a truly unique experience. The Fiji Shark Dive runs morning shark dives five days a week (Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri, Sat) at the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. Usually 2-tank (2 dives), multi-level dive features Bull sharks as the main attraction, accompanied by Sicklefin Lemon, Tawny Nurse, Silvertip, Grey Reef, Blacktip, and Whitetip reef sharks, with thrilling guest appearances by Tiger sharks. Scuba certification is required to dive at the Reserve.

Pacific Harbour is a beautiful area with a gorgeous beach, but be prepared for the 2 1/2 hour transfer from Nadi Airport. Locals are lovely. Would recommend the River Tubing activity. So much fun and the guides were awesome.

I stayed at Oceanus Resort, which was basically rooms, a restaurant, pool, and Aquatrek Dive Centre. Across the road was Pearl Resort, which was more of a resort and more expensive. Went to a Fijian evening at both Pearl and Uprising Resort. The evening entertainment was fantastic at Uprising, with Fijian dancers, fire dancing and really excellent food. Pearl provided no entertainment, and the food was lousy (glad I diddn't book to stay there!). There is an Arts Village walking distance up the road from Oceanus, with cafes, restaurants, arts and crafts. If you want to do the shark dives, there is Aquatrek on site at Oceanus Resort, and Beqa Adventure divers at Lagoon Resort which you would need a car to get to (the resort next door to the dive centre seemed run down and empty). I heard there were some good Air B'nB places to stay.

(For a single female traveller this place is very safe and secure and I would recommend instead of the local hotels)
My mum and I had a lovely experience at the Pearl Resort. The staff are all a credit to your team from Maria the cleaner to Liah the massage therapist. We loved your cocktails, food, hotel facilities, shows, the spa and the adults pool. Thank you
The staff were welcoming, warm and always helpful. They were very committed to their work and proud of the redevelopment of the hotel. The view was lovely. It was spotless. Compared to other places in the area it was very well priced.
The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The hotel was stunning and amenities great. The best part of our stay was definitely the staff. They were attentive, professional and so genuinely friendly.
The hotel, situated beside the lagoon, offers stunning views, a lovely pool, and an excellent restaurant and bar with delicious food, although the breakfast could be improved.
