Waya LaiLai is a home away from home. Run by beautiful locals, this is an authentic Fijian Island experience. Our Bure on the beach was clean and great value for money for 2ad, 2ch. The beds were comfy and the (cold) shower good. All activities were run by friendly guides. A great opportunity to switch off and relax, with electricity via generator only a few hours a day and all night.
The Fijian food was great. Coral reef here is better than the Coral Coast. The hike up the mountain was nice.
Keep in mind the Yasawa islands are remote. This island is one of the closer to the mainland, we travelled via South Sea Cruises (1.5hr trip). Lots of other resorts in Yasawas are under overseas ownership, while Waya LaiLai is still under local ownership.
We hope to come back!

The Island was amazing with great views from the restaurant to our room. There was easy access to the beach from our room. The outdoor bathroom was great and they provided extra fan in our room as it didn't have air con. The bed was super comfy. The entertainment at dinner was also great.
I did the Shark dive at the resort and the staff who assisted were very helpful and super friendly.
